I don't know what the deal is, or if it's the economy...
I CANNOT find a job!!! I have applied everywhere in dade and broward!! I am on indeed.com, simply hired, craigs list, career builder EVERYDAY!! I apply for positions with no call backs...and then the next week I see the position posted again. Arethey not getting my application?? I'm an experienced nurse with great refrences and a decent resume. Not ONE call back. :angryfire I need to hear from you LPN's out there!! Where are you working?? Do you know of any places hiring??
This is a desperate LPN who's about to go apply for a receptionist position!! Please help!!:imbar:imbar
I'm an LPN working at an ALF in naples. Its gotten so overwhelming that I have decided to go back to school also thru a distance program.Hopefully while i still keep my job. (we are dropping like flies there!) There arent alot of jobs right now on this coast either. alot of my LPN friends are having to take cna jobs. its really sad and depressing. I almost feel like we are a dying breed.
I have also been looking for work in the Fort Lauderdale area for a year and havent gotten anything. I know it may not be an option for everyone but we have decided to leave the area and go to the west coast of Fl. I know there hiring in the daytona beach area, i was offered two positions there in the last month. Maybe thats an option?
I to am a lpn . I live in ft lauderdale but work only in boca. Every agency is slow right now. Thank god I took my friends advice and signed up with expicare located in hypoluxo,fl. It is the next exit after boynton bch,fl. Expicare is a hospice sub contracted agency so when hospice by the sea, vitas,or hospice of palm beach county doesn't have enough nurses expicare steps in an do some work. They pay 18per hour they take taxes .pay day is every monday and friday and u can get your check made right on the spot. And I do cases in broward and s.palm beach county (boca and delray). They are great. Google hospice by the sea and catholic hospice and apply at the office. I am also a fulltime student at miami dade college, I love it there. They're rn transition is 1 year 5days, mercy hospiatl in mia,fl is 1 year 3days 7k.I. Am also registered with united nursing services they pay 24 and they take taxes, but they only have short term classes.
