South Florida LPN needs help!!!!

Published

I don't know what the deal is, or if it's the economy...

I CANNOT find a job!!! I have applied everywhere in dade and broward!! I am on indeed.com, simply hired, craigs list, career builder EVERYDAY!! I apply for positions with no call backs...and then the next week I see the position posted again. Arethey not getting my application?? I'm an experienced nurse with great refrences and a decent resume. Not ONE call back. :angryfire I need to hear from you LPN's out there!! Where are you working?? Do you know of any places hiring??

This is a desperate LPN who's about to go apply for a receptionist position!! Please help!!:imbar:imbar

IF you can figure out, the actual employer you might want to send an actual professional cover letter and resume. I've had (non-nsing) interviews from jobing.com/cbr.com. I had to resubmit b/c the jobs smush the resumes. Good luck

I completely know how you feel!!! I too check every possible job site daily with no luck. :angryfire I moved to Broward County in July because of my husband's job and have my FL LPN license but I can't get anyone to call me back. I'm thinking of just going back to school for my RN. I'm just glad to know someone else is having the same difficulties.

Specializes in Home Care.

Do you have your resume on Florida job link and Monster?

Have you applied to staffing agencies?

You might have better luck hand carrying your cover letter and resume to the places you want to work. Go directly to the HR department, ask to see the hiring manager and sell yourself.

I am in the same boat I have applied to every position available in every type of job searc engine out there. I also have not gotten any call backs or return emails so I don't know what the issue is all I can say is sit patient and your patience will pay off I did take a temp job, but let my new boss new I was actively looking for LPN position and WHEN that happens I will be leaving him

He was great with that in fact very supportive. I just pray every night and try to keep networking!!

Are there some staffing agencies that are better than others? I've never used one so, I'm not sure how they work.

Graveyard LPN; Did you ever have any luck with finding a job?

i know plenty of LPN that has work. but they go thru the Agency and they do private duty.. No benefits but at least you can get work.. Lots of the caribbean ladies get work as LPN and CNA but they go thru agencies and private, have you tries doing that...

graveyardlpn

well going for you RN is a plus and you CANT go wrong by taking that route.. look into it.. Its only year for BCC and Miami Dade.. Much Blessings.. your half way there you have a LPN..

No, I still haven't found anything. Any advice?

Haven't found anything either:crying2: I ended up landing a job in hollywood at a nursing home and it was a nightmare!! needless to say, I only lasted a week. Ive continued looking on the internet and asking around. I've gone to promed(they never call, and I always fax my availability) and maxim won't send me on assignments without my physical(which I have no money for right now). Still, nothing permanent. I'm trying to get into keiser's LPN to RN bridge program. I've had enough!!

I thought about going to an agency but I read some pretty nasty stuff about them. I decided to go back to school.
