yes yes I know im nuts...finished ASN last weekend and already signed up as a non-matriculating student and enrolled in Statistics for Healthcare providers, Ethics in healthcare, and English 201 Expository writing....LOL...but since they are three gen eds i need regardless might as well get them out of the way! Start May 7th and end Aug 19th

Anyone else doing the BSN? Just curious of you experiences and how long it's taking or going to take you. They won't do an official evaluation of my credits until I get my RN license, which will be the end of may beginning of june before i can even test. since my classes do not end until Aug 19 anyway, this will work out perfectly for me to roll on into classes that start in Sept term.

Really hoping I can go full time and knock everything out before 11mo. If so I'm also considering Georgetown University FNP program, it would be another 18mo full time online and I would be DONE! Although I know i need to keep my sights set on ONE degree at a time!

I'm not sure if the BSN still requires a trip to NY -- maybe they're changing that as well. However, I think whenever I finally graduate with my MSN, I am going to the annual graduation, period!!!

Just enrolled in the RN to MSN in education on the 12th of April! I am so excited!

I just started Excelsior's MSN Education program. It's my first online learning experience and I'm impressed. I feel like I've learned so much already. Lunah and re0uuga, can NUR 502 and 514 be taken at the same time? I know it CAN but is it doable working 20 hours a week? (time consuming, wise) I need to get through this program like yesterday due to the fact that I live in NY and every ad says "BSN preferred." I hate feeling limited!

Specializes in Home Health, Podiatry, Neurology, Case Mgmt.

Well just an update since I started this thread. I'm currently in my capstone (final) course for the BSN, there is not on-site visit or video required for the course at all. I have gotten all A's in the BSN portion and it builds alot on what I learned during the AAS portion! Very doable for me to work full time M-F 8-5, with three kids and a husband taking 2-3 courses each term. Had no issues with it whatsoever. I did not take any of the Exams that were offered for BSN and chose to take all online courses which i'm happy about. Even the gen-eds for the BSN I needed were fun and informative (I got to take Zombies in Popular Culture and literature, how fun is THAT?) so good luck to those taking it. There is a facebook page for BSN students just look up Excelsior College BSN program students and send me a PM so I can add you as it's a closed group to keep spammers away! =)
