  1. Just enrolled in the RN to MSN in education on the 12th of April! I am so excited!
  2. I'm a retired mil. spouse. Anyway, I kept my license from Tx when returning to N.C even though N.C was my home of record and I had an inactive license in N.C. I think you can do it either way. If I planned to move back to Tx I don't know if I would go through the h/ a of getting N.C license if I didn't have to. This was the instructions I got from NCBON at the time. Rules change so check NCBON to be sure.
  3. :yeah:congrats!!!!! Haven't seen it fail yet!TIME TO PARTY!
  4. Newarriver, I'm a new RN too, although I have 20 years of LPN experience. It's kind of hard to get it across my experience on a electrionic application. Anyway I worked at WM years ago as a LPN. I worked a lot of w/e and 2/3 shifts, so things was ok. I don't know what Rex pay is like but Duke isn't any better than WM as far as pay is concerned. I don't understand why. Yes I would think pay would be better with 2 years experience, my friend has 4 at Duke and pay isn't much better. Good luck! I would really check out Rex pay. Most site show a pay scale on there job site. I'm really happy you found a job and I nice to do the job you love and get paid for it! I love nursing too!
  5. I'm not working at any of those facilities at this time. I can tell you that you just can't take Wake at face value. You need to take in account shift diff and w/e diff. I don't know if you should take it or not. I'm not much of a gambler and I would take the for sure job vs maybe. Just my 2 cents8-). Good luck!
  6. It actually took me 3 years, but less than a year to do everything except CPNE. I failed CPNE 2 times. It took time get my nerves back and to get the money. People say I was brave, but I just had invested to much time and money to quit. I hope this helps.
  7. Try asking this question in the distance education area. I did attend Excelsior and graduated in Jan. Good luck!
  8. Thank you! I slept better after reading your post!:hpygrp:
  9. I took the NCLEX at 8am this morning. I did the PVT and got the pop up! Still I'm nervous. Has anyone failed after getting the pop up on PVT? I know this question has been asked 1000s of times, but I need reassurance. Thanks!
  10. Hi Endspirit, You can only take the 1st 2 nursing exams with Excelsior w/o enrolling, however the 2nd exam will be waved since you are an LPN. You can download outlines to study if you want to. Call them if you have questions, it is better to get it from the horses mouth and you are paying a lot of money for the the program. Good luck on your Excelsior journey!
  11. Hi NC Girl, thank you, are so helpful! I tried to answer your email but couldn't fiquire out how. I haven't been around the site much. I completed the fcca and went to a workshop, completed information lit. I now just need cpne which I broke down and paid for yesterday. Anyway I use to work at WM Fuquay Varina which is where I live. Oh Yeah I still have english to complete. Have a blessed day. I will be thankful to anything that may help. Thanks again and sorry.
  12. I also read the post almost everyday & I never comment. I'm so excited for you!:clphnds:I have FCCA next, I still don't know exactly what to expect. Also shout out to NCGIRL you must live close because I use to work @ WM.
