I took the NCLEX today. It shut off at 75.

That's good, right?

I would know if I failed, right?

I'm going crazy waiting and I'm about to cry, because I already have a job and the thought of having to go to them and tell them that I failed is so unbearable!

Please give me information!!!!!! :smackingf

I was absolutely physically sick after the NCLEX. My anxiety was physically affecting me. I wound up calling the State Dept of NSG the day after I tested and told the woman I spoke with that she would be reponsible for whatever happened to me if I didnt get my results NOW. She laughed and said "Dont worry sweety, you can breathe, you passed." I dont know if they are allowed to do that, but she probably heard the fear and desperation in my voice. I have developed such test anxiety since NCLEX. Before I was always cool as a cucumber, now I panic. Its like post traumatic test disorder.

I took my state boards 11 years ago and it turned off at 75. I had ventilator questions and a bunch of questions on some obscure illness called 'biliary atresia'. When it turned off I firmly believed I had failed miserably. Two weeks later my license arrived. Believe me when I say that you think you have faced an incredible challenge in the way of this test, but the real tests...the toughest of all will come when you are on the job. Your NCLEX was only a prelude. So, take a deep breath, think positive thoughts and focus on the future---it will require even more concentration and insight.

I just saw your post, and I notice that you are half way through your wait. It is painful, I remember the anxiety. I got home, had brew and got outside with my kids;lot's of distraction and fresh air. I too had 75 questions, it seemed like half my graduating class had 75 questions, and the majority (for what it's worth) passed. I know the number of questions doesn't reflect pass or fail, but think of fit like this. If you passed, congrats! If not, at least you didn't sit in front of a computer stressing for 5 hours answering 200 of the craziest scenarios imaginable. Good Luck, and don't for get to breath.

Good news: I PASSED!!!! *dance*

And better, two other people from my class were sitting at the same time as me and they both passed too!!!! *dance for joy*

YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!

now go enjoy your success!!

congrats! Even 16 years after graduating I will never forget that waiting.

Congratulations! So I guess my question is..... once you take the exam... how long do you have to wait until you find the results?? Was it only 24 hours for you??? Some people sound like they had to wait weeks...

Just curious... TIA

48 hours after you take the test, the results are available at Pearson Vue.

You can also see it at your State BON website, but I think that can sometimes take up to 10 days for it to show.

In Ohio, you can look on the board's website and it's posted within 24-48 hours, in my case it was closer to 24 hours. :) The website kept going down which was not helping my mental state
