Follow up with a phone call to HR or the DNS and ask if they are currently hiring. Tell them you have submitted an application and would love an opportunity to meet with someone in hiring. LTC is always looking for night shift nurses

Thanks for the message..By the way, what is LTC?

TLC means long term care.

I agree with mariann that you should follow up with a call to human resources to ask if they have received your application. It's an easy way to let them know your interested.

Nursing home might be a better place to Land u

Job! I will look up local nursing homes online.

Good luck!

May I ask, since you say that you have no experience here in the states.

Are you a citizen, or have a visa that permits employment here in the states? If not, there are a lot more hoops to jump through for employment here, regardless of facility.

And do you have a nursing license for the States yet?

Hello my fellow nurses,

I just got my license as an LPN and I wanted to know if anyone knows a place where they are currently hiring in the Hartford, CT area. I also would like to know how much they start nurses in this area. Thank u all for ur time. May God bless us all!

Hi Nana Dee. Congratulations on your new license! I too recently got my RN. As for hourly rates: from talking to some friends who are RNs and LPNs this is what I have heard:

For new grads RNs make about $28/hr and LPNs are about $18/hr depending on the facility - these are just averages and not taking into account any shift diff.

I hope this helps. Good luck to you

I work LTC in New Haven county and make $25 and change an hour.

Thanx very much for the reply. I wish u the best of luck too

Thanx dear, wish u the best of luck as well
