Solano Community College Fall 2020

Hi future nurses!

I just got my acceptance email today at Solano! I think we should all communicate through here for questions and what not. I tried to look at previous forums, but they did not have info about when clinicals and lectures are. I want to find out this info before accepting the position in case I get accepted from another program that is better for me. Especially since I live 2 hours away.

Hi! Hope all is well and everyone is healthy. I haven’t received an email yet. I’m thinking they’re waiting for the first week of May to see if we’ll still have to meet remotely.

Hi everyone,

I emailed them last week on Wednesday and they haven’t replied to me yet. They use too email me the following day, but nothing yet.

I emailed last week to ask about getting the TB testing and titers done but I was told to set my appt for 2nd half of June to early July. I was told that they're still working out how to complete the orientation so it looks like they haven't worked out all the details yet.

Hello,

I emailed Janet on May 5th. She replied and said that they still haven’t sent out an email for a new orientation date. Hopefully one comes out soon!

The SCC sent out a general notification that most classes are going online for the fall on Monday, I think. Do not know what that means for you. It could be in-person clinicals and online theory classes. I suspect they're still working everything out.

Anyone receive any updates? I'm anxiously waiting to receive notice of getting in this fall and off of the alternates list. I am thankfully accepted into programs elsewhere but I would love not having to relocate if possible ?

We received an email on 5/22 to see if we were still committed to Solano nursing program. After my response, they informed me that they had no further updates at this time. So I’m not really sure what is going on?

Oh, OK I did not receive that email but I had just emailed her 5 day before that so...hm.

I heard we will not know what our schedule looks like till the week before school starts.
