I don't know what to do. It's been over 3 years since I graduated from nursing school. I took the board exam once and did not pass. I try to pick the studying up again, but each time I feel myself becoming less motivated and more overwhelmed. What should I do?:no:

Maybe try taking an nclex course, there are some offered online, it's helping me alot with staying motivated. I took a year off before finishing out the 5 week externship which is the very last part of the semester, I had everything all the credits completed before that, so I was really having a difficult time getting started. So I decided to take the Kaplan course, and I'm flowing through it really well, I'm definitely more motivated...because during that year I kept attempting to study but couldn't bring myself to it and felt just like you, lacked motivation big time.

I took the Kaplan with live classes. I knew that if I bought the online course only I wouldnt do the reading needed so the class assignments made me actually read the book and do the questions and two time a week I had to ge off my butt and go hear the prosessor explaining the strategies and so on. Im so Glad!

Holy Smokes!!!! 3 years and have only tested once----OK you need to get serious here and start studying...do what others have suggested and take a Nclex course. You need to outline a plan of this week Iam going to do this many question on this topic, and next week I am going to spend Monday-Thursday doing this many questions on this topic then Friday I am going to take a test on this topic and that topic and see where I am at.

You have to start preparing as I just dont think you can go that long out of school with out preparing and pass Nclex.

Time is money...if you really want to make your self motivated take the last 3 years of time approx 2000 hours of workx3 years = 6000 hours then multiply that by lets just say 20.00 an hour.= $120000.00

You spent alot of time and money in nursing school and it had to be a big sacrifice to complete it--it is time to get rewarded for all your hard work....

Now go pick up a book!!

And good luck!!!!
