So I passed Health and Safety today =)

I passed Health and Safety this morning with an A! I took both practice tests and looked up vocab i'd forgotten. I know all the exams won't be this easy I took 3 days to review. I i scheduled this test 3 days after i registered.

I really don't know anything about The College Network but from reading all the posts on this site, they dont sound very reputable. Is there anyway that you can cancel or did you sign some sort of contract? Personally, I think Excelsior's study guides and practice tests are EXCELLENT study tools. I just took my first exam and passed! I think you should enroll with Excelsior if you can?!

@ Shirley, Welcome... Sorry to hear that you didn't do so well on the first test. my advice to you is stay focus, download the study guide and go over everything. You'll do great next time.

I'm just starting out. Sorry you didn't pass H&S. I'm just following the content guide on the EC website. I don't have experience with TCN actually never heard of them until I came to this site. Have you purchased the practice exams? Don't let the setback get you down. I'm sure you will do better in time. :)

Hello everyone!

Hi, my name is Shirley and this is my first time here. I was introduced to the program by college network, I first take the health safety exam and I failed. I was so devastated, but after talking to them they say that I can take the next exam, now I am studying thier transition module, and I really don't know what to do at this point since they say that I can not cancel, and I feel like if I used excelsior materials and thier practice exams, it could have been better. Now, I wanted to take the next exam before I enroll with excelsior so that I do not spend more money for nothing. Please, I need some advices on how to succeed with the exams.

I'm sry that you found the College Network before you were able to research further they are a publishing company and not affiliated with Excelsior (the degree granting college). I haven't seen any reports of people able to cancel contracts with them passed that 48hr time frame. I have only taken 1 exam, but i think my strategy will be to take the practice tests and then make flash cards for any vocabulary I couldn't remeber/ didn't know readily. Excelsior has a free Content outline online for Health and Safety that have helped many people.

Thank you very much guys! I wish that I had dicovered this website before I started the program!!!, anyway, it is never too late. Now, which book is the best one to study for Health safety and transition? then, is the 8 weeks online conference that cost 175 dollars on excelsior help?, please tell me guys cause I was about to drop everything after I failed the HS, but I am done studying the college network transition module and ready to register for the exam but I am a little bit scared. Should I review other books along with the free content guide?

Please guys help, I really wanna do this but I kept thinking it is too hard.

Thanks

Have you taken Excelsior's practice exam for Health and Safety?

No, I haven't because I thought that by studying the college network module, i would not need it, but from my understanding now, it ws a big mistake.

If you have the funds available i think it was a great resource. Try writing down any question you remember from the test and look the answers up.

Shirley - The practice tests are a must! Alot of the questions from the practice tests are on the actual test!!!! :clown:

Shirley, you can download a free exam content guide for each exam from Excelsior's website. These content guides tell you exactly which areas to study, and also provide information on textbooks. It should never be a mystery to anyone what is on the exams -- the information is out there for you on EC's website. Good luck!! :)

Thank you very much Jalyda, I will do that 2morrow.

Thanks Luna, the thing is I didn't reallly know that if I had to follow the content guide, so I am going to follow your advices, I am positive that I will do better.
