snack/food idea for night shift nurses?

Published

Next week will be my last day of preceptorship, I want to bring some snacks/foods as a thank you to the unit staff..

was thinking to bring two boxes of doughnuts.. But I was wondering if that's good for night shift?

any suggestions?

well... we eat donuts on nightshift too. it is our morning, after all. :-p whatever you bring for days will work for nights!

You do know that those donuts are going nowhere aye?

1. Apples

2. Lemons

3. Tomato juice

4. Fat free Yoghurt

5. Pita

The list is endless:)

I usually baked a little something...but as a general rule nurses like food. All kinds of food. Regardless of the shift. Especially if it's free and easily eaten!

Best of luck to you!

Word!!!(looks around guility)

Edible Arrangements. It may be expensive, however, it is delicious!!! I received chocolate-covered strawberries as a gift from students-I felt like 1/2 of healthy and 1/2 was fun.

For Christmas and New Year's Day, I had bagels delivered to the 2 units I manage for day shift (could not get pizza delivered before their lunch break) and pizza for 3-11 and 11-7. Just a small thank you. Wanted to stay away from the holiday candies and cookies. P.S. Personally ordered the times to be delivered 1. fresher and 2. most important the food was there for the shift meant for.

Take chocolate lamingtons!! Everybody loves those!

Otherwise when people leave, they usually buy a cake from the cheesecake shop and everyone just helps themselves to it.

We nurses definitely love our sugary treats! Too bad some of us (like me) have some weight to lose too!
