Well, we didn't have skunks, but we had bats! And because we were on the migratory path of some "endangered" bat species, we couldn't kill them, either. Picture your security guards running down the corridor with butterfly nets to catch the bats flying up and down the corridor and put them back outside. We even had a "bat policy!"
I wish we had a "bat policy" for certain people I work with.

LOL, I was thinking sort of the same thing. Maybe I don't "like" it, but it doesnt really bother me. :)

It's just interesting to me that all these odors can get in the vent system and end up on our units, isn't it? I am part time on the night shift, so I really didn't ask or knew what was going on when I smelled skunk! Very infromative discussion. Can't say I like the smell though.
Yeah, I guess after all the other bad smells we have to deal with at work, the skunk smell is kinda refreshing, huh?
MMMMMMM...like a cool summer rain.

Actually skunk at a distance smells ok, but up really really close I discovered my tummy just turned right over all on its own!

Yes!! What is up with that? Or, I have wondered if they are doing something funky with the sewer system...No one ever complains that the smell skunk funk on days or evernings, but in the summer, we night people do.....Glad to hear it isn't just us...Hmmmmmm...

I have caught them around the dumpsters mostly...so think they're sniffing out food and someone surprises 'em.
I've heard ammonia keeps cats away from windows, bushes, etc... so wonder if that might work with skunks too???
Agree the skunky odor is better than cdiff ...eeeugh!
