skipping graduation/pinning?

So I'm graduating in 3 more weeks, and the more I think about the graduation and pinning ceremony, I kind of just don't want to go. This is my second time in college, so I've done the graduation thing before and I'm just kind of over it. I'm tired and I don't need anything extra to worry about. Did anyone else skip their ceremony because they just didn't really want to go?

Also, I've had a lot of classmates fail out and it's just taken the spirits out of the rest of us. Add to this the normal stress of being a senior and I just want to take my diploma and move on.

I wanted to skip, I was strongly encourage to go. I wish I would have skipped. I'm not into ceremonies. To each their own.

I need to update my last reply. While I didn't attend my LV/PN pinning;

I did attend my RN graduation festivities. I was so happy to obtain my ASN / RN / ADN (whatever you call it[emoji1]) I attended several graduation ceremonies promoted by my school.

I will tell you that, though I'm a kind of stoic person, by nature, I teared up during my pinning. I didn't expect that emotional response [emoji15].

I'm glad I attended!

In the end, no I didn't attend my V/PN graduation nor the Pinning.

I did attend my RN pinning, ASN/ADN graduation, etc.

And I do not regret it.

For my post to make sense, I have to give you a bit of background. I failed my first LPN program by a fraction of a percent, the last day of class. I reapplied and failed again, this time for attendance. That program was a living hell that gave me moderate PTSD. Passed the second one with flying colors. Attendance for ceremonies was mandatory at the first one but not second, even if you already got your license. If they could, they would have taken it away for not attending. Which is why I went to the mandatory halfway one, out of fear. If course, half the people missed it and I was so pissed. if I wasn't dismissed, there's no way in hell I would have attended. It was a very strict program stuck in the dark ages with verbally abusive instructors. I didn't want anything to do with it beyond the bare minimum. I loved the second one and went to everything, despite living over an hour away. It felt more like a celebration of something amazing vs. one last power trip from people who I didn't think should have clearance to work with human beings lol. Go if it was a good experience and you want some sentimental moments/pictures.

I did not go to my ADN graduation or pinning. Besides not wanting to go, I also had to work. I did not go to my BSN graduation either. I went to my first college graduation (BA) and my JD graduation, but by the time I got to nursing school, I just didn't cate to go anymore.
