SJSU Spring 2018

Published

Hey guys, I have not yet seen a thread for the SJSU Spring 2018 Nursing Program... so I decided to make one! I know it's a little early to start posting, but I am too excited and wanted to meet others that are applying! Here is a thread for all questions/concerns/comments! Hope to see and meet you all!!

@zombazomba you will never know unless you apply so please apply! I will say that Spring is less competitive because transfer students are not usually accepted. So the applicant pool includes students that are already at SJSU only, cutting out a good number of applicants.

And yes you can only apply to the program twice.

Hey f_jap22,

I went to transfer orientation in April and ********* said that they won't be taking transfers for Spring 2018. However, if you're transferring into SJSU this Fall 2017 and apply for nursing Spring 2018, it'll be okay. I would go to the next group advising just in case though.

SJSU usually accepts student for the Spring Nursing Program, but you must be attending SJSU by the Fall before you apply or any time before that. They do not accept students from other schools for the Spring.

I just called and they are not taking any transfers or even people that hold a Bach degree already( in my case) I'm so sad :/.

Hi guys! My entire gpa for all courses I've taken is 3.3, but my gpa for the big five is 3.7. Is there any hope of me getting in?

Hi peachtea,

With that GPA for the big five, you got a great chance. But remember, they also look for a good TEAS test score too!! Good Luck!!!

Hey guys, my impaction score is 6.23

GPA: 3.39

TEAS: 85.3%

Hey guys! I was just wondering, are any of you planning on applying to other schools?

I just called and they are not taking any transfers or even people that hold a Bach degree already( in my case) I'm so sad :/.

Are you sure about this? i mean the website says for spring application, only students at sjsu and second bachelor (myself) can only apply. Btw anyone applying for the spring 2018 having trouble applying to the calstate apply for university admission? Since we are suppose to apply as undeclared student, there is no option for that.

Hi kieptonite, thanks so much! I've been really stressing about my gpa lately. My teas score is 88% I think that's just an ok score *^*

Hi! Yeah I'm applying to SFSU and evergreen valley college @vuhsache

Hey! That's awesome, do you know if we can send in transcripts before the applications are open? I'm confused on how all of this works D:
