Hi guys, I couldn't find a thread for the Fall 2016 program so I thought I would make one! It'll be awesome to meet people who are applying to the same nursing program! It would also be nice to get a general idea of this semester's applicant pool since I'm pretty sure everyone is quite nervous!
I believe that Fall 2015 cut-off score was 7.25 and in Spring 2016, students were accepted with 7.0 impaction score. So I have no idea if it will increase or decrease this time around, but it might be closer to the previous Fall semester...
I'm not sure if it is for this semester or the next following semesters. But since we just submitted our application and they just put it up, I'm strongly assuming that they would be starting this new impaction score for this cohort.
Didn't you get the email from SJSU nursing department? They said they will mail us the third weeks of April. I looked up for the comments of the previous programs, and I noticed they usually mailed around from the 26th to 28th of April.
Has anyone else received an email asking for more info like the competency form or ID? I got an email asking for these two things and a course substitution form. Waiting truly is torture I can't wait for it be the end of april!
I got the email about admission letters being sent out by the third week of april. Although, since it is on the nursingCAS this year, I'm hoping it comes by sooner!
I did not get the email about the competency form and id number. I attached both to my nursingcas application.
I've gotten an email saying that we're receiving decisions around late April and that was pretty much the only thing I've heard from them. The waiting game is absolutely terrifying! Applied to another school and they don't send out decisions until mid April either. Goodluck everyone!
I recognize you from the SFSU forum. If you can earn such a high GPA in your prerequisites, I know you can get a great score on the TEAS. It was a difficult test to prepare for, especially the science portion because it was vague in the study guide. Now that you've taken it, you have a better idea of how to direct your studies. You have a good chance at SJSU, but if you really want SFSU, all you have to do is take your TEAS again. Most of their applicants take it 3 times!!
