Hi there! I started this topic since I couldn't find any threads for SJSU fall 2014 applicants. Care to share your GPA, TEAS scores, and impaction scores to get a better idea of the competition this season?
My stats are:
GPA (for 5 prerequisites): 3.95
TEAS: 90.7%
Impaction: 7.89
Hey guys, been digging around to see how the cutoff increases from spring to fall. Maybe give us an idea of how drastic increase/decrease in scores.
spring 2013 - 10.59 from http://www.sjsu.edu/nursing/docs/BS_Advising_Slides.pdf
fall 2013 - 10.75 from students accepted in https://allnurses.com/california-nursing/sjsu-fall-2013-a-813328-page6.html
increase: 0.16
I found fall 2012 - 10.34, but couldn't find spring of 2012, so I don't know.
And spring 2014 was 7.19 for new viewers.
@hahaingWhat do you predict will be the cutoff this semester? Last cycle'a was 7.20.
I have no idea and can't predict anything lol. Just letting us see how things were. Hopefully, it doesn't increase more than 0.16 :/
If we go by 0.16, then Fall hypothetically would be 7.35
I wish I could find Spring of 2012 to see the increase, but can't find it.
I found this " Spring 2010 was 10.18 and the cutoff for Fall 2010 looks like it's going to be 10.27"
It's definitely increasing each year...

450 applicants?!?! Sacramento critically values gpa more than teas scores. I've kind of given up hope of getting in there. I applied to csula, csusac, csubakersfield, sfsu, sjsu, csusanmarcos, and csueastbay. From reading other forums, many applicants give up their seats for a more preferable school, hopefully their decision to deny will give one of us a seat!
Actually, they have a different way of calculating their Impaction score. They give you certain amount of points out of 50 for your GPA. The same for teas. Then, you have optional/additional points for volunteering, bi lingual, low income, and one other thing. Each of the optional categories is 3 points per. I'm rather surprised because their deadline was march 1 and they had so many applicants compared to SJSU.And they will still let me know before this campus. Lol
