I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has applied to Simmons Direct Entry FNP for fall of 2022? Let’s discuss! Thanks ?

Hello, I spoke to an admissions person and just wanted to clarify. They don't give a BSN but you do get your RN license after taking the NCLEX. They also do require students to work as nurses so they will have nursing experience by the time they graduate and you get the option to do the masters part time or full time depending on how much you want to work.

Thanks for clarifying. That’s good that you can get RN experience. The student I spoke to said that not having a BSN is a red flag for employers. Also, she said clinical placement is an issue no matter what school you go to.

Oh yeah I totally agree, especially to get a job in Boston hospitals!

Has anyone heard back or know of a timeline for Simmons?

Got my acceptance letter today ?

Ahhhh congratulations! Was it an email or mail?

I also just got my acceptance today! Feeling iffy about this program after reading the comments from the current students. Anyone else have any other thoughts about this program? I am from California so I don't know much about the area the program is located in. Would love to hear what others are thinking!

An email with a link to a separate portal. They also gave financial aid info.

I'm going to go to the info session today. I'm also concerned about the total cost of the program. I haven't been able to find a clear answer online.

Hi, I also got my acceptance and they gave me a nice scholarship so I’m a bit conflicted LOL I heard bad things about the program with organization and clinical placements so I’m not too sure either.

Same. I'm going to go to the info session in good faith and try to figure it out.

There's linked part in the acceptance letter that says "next steps." It's $750, due March 21st. There's going to be an Admitted Students Day on March 12th.
