I too am waiting for a decision, and its nerve wrecking!!! Other schools Ive applied to have deadlines but am just waiting to hear from Simmons. Where are you guys located? Im in Maryland!

Oh my gosh, me too! I never received an email or anything but I got a big fat package in the mail today! So incredibly grateful! I'm on the waitlist for MGH and that's the only other school I would consider at this point. I guess I'm wondering if others have considered the two and what their thoughts are....

NP2_be thanks for your message! I do not have the ability to reply just yet..

Did it sound as though Simmons is having no difficulty placing people for clinical rotations? I would think all of the schools in this area would struggle an equal amount due to the high volume of nursing schools, regardless if it's a relatively new program or not.

One clear benefit to Northeastern is that they offer a BSN after the first portion of the program and I don't think Simmons does. Does this make you nervous at all?

Good news for anyone who is on the wait list, I have officially committed to join the GEPN program at the Yale School of Nursing. As soon as they email me with a confirmation that my deposit was received, I will turn down my offer of admission at Simmons. I'm sorry that I will not be joining you in the fall, there are a lot of wonderful things about the Simmons program, some of which I strongly prefer to Yale, but I don't feel like I can turn down an opportunity to attend an Ivy League institution.

Killena, although I will be moving to Connecticut soon, I have lived in the Boston area for many years and would be happy to talk with you, or exchange emails about where you might want to live. I really like East Somerville/Winter Hill where I live now, its relatively "cheap" for the area, is a vibrant mixed community with a lot of immigrants and is close to public transportation. Also, I need to take one more chemistry class - does anyone have any experience with online chemistry classes? I either need to take a Chemistry II or an Organic Chemistry class. Anyone familiar with the biochemistry class that Simmons offers?
