  1. I actually love Walden and compared to other programs it fits work life balance! You have to be motivated to "self-teach" as the real support comes when you start practicums. It's shorter than Bradley as well. ONLY ISSUE IS YOU HAVE TO FIND YOUR OWN PRECEPTORS AND ONLY OJE PRACTICUM AT A TIME!! Other than that your typical discussion boards and papers depending on the course midterm and finals. I personally started from an ADN to MSN AGNP track and would personally recommended it!
  2. I am a current student at Walden and the school is ridiculous. The student advising is a joke, the nursing program changes the policies as they go without informing you, what you are told in the beginning isnt what is really going on. The course work is do able and can be balanced with work but its all self study, not instructors but facilitators.
  3. Congratulations!!!! ~*~ I just sent you an email from my hotmail account with the subject All Nurses Help
  4. Hello, I am a new Walden AG-PCNP student! I have seen your post in regards to the school and wanted to chat with you so I can better be prepared and successful for the program. I start Feb 2-18. How is the program? What is the setup and how are the assignments? What courses should I be weary of or well prepared for and is it reasonable to do two courses at a time until practicums start? Thanks in advance!
  5. Well I will respond! It's very annoying when you post something and need an answer and people do everything but just answer your question. There are many programs that take RN's with associates to NP's (Simmons, Frontier, Walden, Vanderbilt, Regis, MCHPS..) to name a few and then their are programs that have RNs that have a non nursing Bachelors to NP. I will respond to this post with those specific programs soon...
  6. I am interested in applying to Wilkes RN-MSN (AGNP). My ASN GPA is severely low because of personal challenges I was facing during the program but I am an exceptional nurse and have the experience and the references and the motivation. How is the program at Wilkes? Are they flexible with the GPA? How do you/did you like the program?
  7. Hello, Just wanted to know how its coming along with Walden. I am applying for the AGNP and wanted to hear from someone how its going. I have an ASN and will do the ASN to NP.
  8. Hello, I wanted to know how your doing in South NP program? I am currently applying and wondering if its a good decision to attend this school?
  9. I am also applying around to Regis, Simmons, Frontier, George Washington, and my least favorite Chamberlain for NP programs. Simmons and Regis are priorities. I am extremely worried because my GPA is low as well. My prereqs are A's and B's but my Nursing is wheewww not too good!!!! Have you heard anything back from where you've applied??
  10. Hello, I am looking into WGU RN to BSN! How was the program? Also, what type of work from home job did you get? I am also looking into working from home.
  11. I too am waiting for a decision, and its nerve wrecking!!! Other schools Ive applied to have deadlines but am just waiting to hear from Simmons. Where are you guys located? Im in Maryland!
  12. Yes, it's a wonderful school and staff are caring and really want you to do well. I also didn't take Chemistry only A&P and Micro so bridge might or might not be an option. Keeping my fingers crossed. If you don't mind can you share your GPA and things u had that made them accept you. My fear is I don't have much experience but I love the fact they look at you as a whole.
  13. Hello All, Im also new to All Nurses. I applied to the May 16 Cohort Feb 25th and am just nervous! My application is with faculty. Its my dream school to attend, I know a few people who had graduated from the FNP program and are so confident and well prepared. I just cant wait to hear back! How was everyone's application process? Did your counselor tell you how long decisions take? Any other ideas about funding school other that Nurse Corps?
  14. Im currently in the nursing program at pg in Maryland and am suppose to start my last semester and they tell me now because of one course they will not permit me to move forward. So now I'm thinking excelsior because I've been in pg since 2012 and haven't achieved anything but putting up with their crap. I feel like excelsior is the way to go. Just had a few questions about their exams and how you did it and a small amount a time and tips
