  1. Hello Everyone, I am in my final year in Regis College studying to be a family nurse practitioner. I need various clinical sites (adult, peds, obgyn, geri) to make up 600 hours this year before I graduate. Is anyone out there willing to precept for a little bit in Massachusetts? This would be starting around May. Anything helps and I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
  2. Ugh she needs to get off her high horse. Nurses catch MD mistakes all the time. They also guide and give information so that they can call the right shots. A good nurse is worth his or her weight in gold.
  3. Thanks for the post. I heard derm is a very hard area to get in to.
  4. Sounds like being an NP can be exhausting.
  5. Children are said to be carriers of higher viral load. I think they are absolutely front line.
  6. I worked as a unit secretary for a hospital for a little while. Just being exposed to terminology and observing was helpful before becoming a nurse.
  7. Just so you know, once you get into the clinical part of nursing school, there are some places that will let you work as a CNA without the certificate. At least that’s how it works in the northeast. I would look at job websites under “student nurse” if your interested.
  8. I was thinking about trying Summer camp next year as well!
  9. Maybe private or charter schools?
  10. I started in an ER in a community hospital. From there I was able to go to the ICU. Good luck!
  11. Yes I think they would tell you if you’ve been blacklisted.
  12. Thanks Kate for the advice. What NP track/speciality did you enroll in? That’s unfortunate that the program is set up that way. I work part time and I have two little ones so any flexibility in the program is very valuable to me. I guess I will hope for the best and make do. Babiphatt I’ll DM you my email in case we ever have questions about the program etc.
  13. Very soon..the end of August 2020.
  14. Hey guys! I was just accepted into Regis College online FNP program. I was wondering if anyone else on here were also accepted or applying. Let’s get through NP school together!!
