I am currently in my last year at a community college, however, my transcript is a complete mess. I was doing very well, until the fall semester of 2018. In the fall of 2018, I got extremely sick and was sick for the whole term. During that time I was taking A&P 1, nutrition, and two other electives. Being very ill really affected my academic performance and I ended up getting an F in anatomy and a C in nutrition. Since then, I have recovered and my grades have made a very large improvement. I received a B in microbio and microbio lab, a B in statistics, and A's in the rest. However, because of the F in A&P, my GPA dropped to a 2.9. I am retaking it this semester and my school offers grade forgiveness, so my GPA will go back up, but with nursing applications being due on March 1st, the 2.9 GPA is what is going to appear on my application. I am taking the HESI in about three weeks if that matters at all at this point. I feel very lost and discouraged; I feel as though I will not get accepted into any nursing school at this point. I did not expect to become as ill as I did, which completely threw me off. Has anyone else had a similar situation or just overall any advice on how I should go forward with this?
