Hi everyone! I just submitted my application for Simmons fall 2019 start for the ABSN program. I would love to hear about everyone's backgrounds!

Idk if anyone is still checking this thread, but I'm in the year ahead of you all (graduating in December 2019 from the 16-month Simmons ABSN program). I wanted to see if your class had a facebook or something, because when I was entering the program last year I had TONS of questions and faculty never set up a time for seniors of the program to talk to the newer classes. and legit there is SO MUCH INFO that would have been good to know going in. anyway, if anyone wants to message me, or find me on facebook, or whatever... PLS DO!!! Also I have Simmons scrubs I would give you because I don't need the three pairs I bought, plus books that are basically useless to me now that I would legit give someone for free. k bye xoxo

cool! well if you wanna find me on facebook my name is Jill Scribner (and it should say that I live in Boston, MA). just fb friend me and message if you have any questions ? it's only june so you probably haven't gotten all the books you need yet... but when you do, I have all the books for health assessment and don't need them anymore!

AVB913- I was thinking of starting a Facebook page. If you want to add me my name is Noelle Mercure. I'm in the Advanced Patho class this summer so I know the names of a few of the girls and then hopefully we can add everyone eventually.

Hi Jill I tried to message u on FB. Would love some info on the program? Can anyone tell me if you can do almost all clinical in Boston area?

AVB913 hi I would love to hear about Advanced Path is going? Does it start in May and end in July?. I am hoping they will offer it next summer

I have no car/drivers license, so I was VERY interested in hearing where they place. Supposedly, while no promises, they try to take your situation into account (no car, etc...). They try to make most all accessible by public transit, but you may be placed in a one or two rotations you would need to use Uber or carpool with someone.

@Nancy Pearlstone Anderson placements can sometimes be unpredictable and far away, but *most* placements for people in our program are Brigham and Womens, MGH, Beth Israel Deaconness, Tufts, Mt. Auburn, Mass Mental Health Center, the VA, Boston Childrens, and then there are a few others but I can't remember... places further north or south are usually just used as placements when people live close. Tbh though, some people got stuck with placements far away and there wasn't much they could do except try to switch with other students.
