I used to have one when I was on allnurses a couple years ago. I have recently rejoined the ranks of allnurses (long story why i left to begin with. Maybe another time...) and now my avatar is gone and I can't figure out how to put a new one up. I checked the control panel and everything.

Feb 19, 2008 No, it's always been that way; however there have been times I think when there was some sort of "glitch" in the system and folks whose paid subscriptions ran out, still had avatars.I know, it happened to me. My premium subscription ran out about a year or so ago, but I still had my avatar. But then one day one of the admins sent me a PM saying that my avatar was being removed. Oh well. =)

Feb 20, 2008 a while back -- it might have been after the upgrade over the summer -- i noticed that many "registered members" had their avatars again. some were on accounts where the member was no longer activly posting, too.it isn't consistent; i'm sure it is some sort of glitch in the program, but i have noticed it for several months now.
