Silly question...Where did my avatar go??

Published

I used to have one when I was on allnurses a couple years ago. I have recently rejoined the ranks of allnurses (long story why i left to begin with. Maybe another time...) and now my avatar is gone and I can't figure out how to put a new one up. I checked the control panel and everything.

Oh, thank you. I guess it has been changed since I was last on here. :)

No, it's always been that way; however there have been times I think when there was some sort of "glitch" in the system and folks whose paid subscriptions ran out, still had avatars.

I know, it happened to me. My premium subscription ran out about a year or so ago, but I still had my avatar. But then one day one of the admins sent me a PM saying that my avatar was being removed. Oh well. =)

I was also wondering about my avatar. No, it hasn't "always been that way" I used to have an avatar without ever having a paid membership.

Think this was something that came in when paid subscriptions came in a few years ago

It had to be a glitch in the system.

Actually, this poster is probably talking about the days before paid membership - anyone who wanted an avatar could have one. I remember that too.

That is true, but the member in question joined in May of '05, and reserved for paying members only.;)

a while back -- it might have been after the upgrade over the summer -- i noticed that many "registered members" had their avatars again.

some were on accounts where the member was no longer activly posting, too.

it isn't consistent; i'm sure it is some sort of glitch in the program, but i have noticed it for several months now.
