You've told us what you don't do, I realize you're just venting (I hope) but the post came across way too negative. Can you tell us what you actually do in detail? That would actually be a more interesting read.

What? A venting thread is negative? NO WAY!

Reminded me of a scene of the movie Mrs. Doubtfire where the nanny being interviewed gave a long list of the things she didn't do LOL!! I wonder if the OP vented like this back when she was being interviewed for that job.... :)

Uh, don't butt in a fun venting thread by telling the OP that they are negative. It's annoying and, well, judgmental. Now quit it!

Wow! You must never have a bad day where you work. It must all be roses and smiley faces. I am sure the list of things that this particular nurse does do, day in and day out, would far surpass anything you could imagine. Sometimes we just need to vent and hope that we aren't alone in some of the things we deal with.

Im just giving my opinion, you're free to judge me as you have. I think it's negative and that's that. Who cares about what I have to say anyway? It's an opinion and is neither right or wrong, it just is.

Don't butt in on my opinion now quit it :p

If you want to start a thread about all the awesome things school nurses do, go ahead! We'll join in. But to say something like that on this thread is posting off topic and against the site's TOS.

Please leave us to our venting and take your aggressive sunshine and roses to your own thread if you want.

I am not a dog crap on a shoe cleaner. (Seriously????)

I drew the line there one day last year! Someone came in with it and I said "NOPE! Not a health issue. You can use my sink if you want, but I am not cleaning it."

Same with a student vigorously touching himself in class. If he is doing it because there's a rash, OK, I'll take a look. But if it's because he 12 and intrigued by a new phenomenon, not a health issue.

That's an etiquette issue that should have been dealt with by his parents years ago (Says mother of 4 sons) "Now Johnny, we don't touch down there in front of other people, and don't pick your nose in front of Mrs Jones, it's bad manners"

Ha! I don't look forward to when my son is there... He is 6 now and I gently remind him to take his hand out of his pants while we watch TV
