Hi Guys,
I am supposed to take my exam on Tues 7/28 and I'm totally freaking out!! I have been using kaplan, Saunders, exam cram and nclex 3500 but mostly kaplan. My score for the trainers were
q1 72
q2 55
q3 50
q4 59
q5 60 and I just finished q6 just to end up with another 60%!!! at this point i am beyond frustrated and sooo scared to fail that i am about to have a brkdown. My scores for qbank vary from 49-76 and on the others I score mostly 65-75. I really don't know what to do, I just checked Pearson and there's a spot open for 08/06 but I am not sure I should change it, my sister is coming to visit next weekend from paris with her little boy and I'm sure i won't study as much with them around...on the other hand, she won't be here until Sunday so it gives me about 5 more days right??
:uhoh3: Sorry if am rambling..I just need advice before it's too late...Thx 4 reading
"Sigh".. Well I did it...I decided to keep my original date, Whether that was a good idea or not remains to be seen:banghead:
I just got home from taking it..got 75qs, 8 SATA, 7 meds, priority ( which phone call to return first, who to discharge first) & infection control( room assgnmts, door closed or not, mask or not etc..), 1 OB, 2-3 PEDS, no CALC! and i'm blank on the rest:( I was shaking the whole time. Other than like a couple of psych questions I know i got right, I felt like i was guessing at almost every question! I always got down to 2 and couldn't decide! ( I know ..that's every body right?) But the stakes r so high for me right now...I woudn't even know where to start if I don't pass..I am soo broke that I could literally be out on the street if I don't have a job for another month!
I darn sure can't cough up another $200 for Pearson!!
..Anyway..there i go rambling again..I am too nervous to try the trick right now..Maybe after my pulse goes back to normal! will keep you updated:clown:
I did mine today too- and I also was wondering if I should reschedule, but I did not, I just went for it. I was pretty sure that I was going to fail. I don't know. My test sounds close to what your was. Only one calc question. I got a pop up on the Pearson Vue trick-blocked me from paying. I was looking two minutes after I was in the door- I can/could not wait. Now I am just praying that the trick works because I don't think I can go through that again! People at work keep asking me about it and I keep saying that I rescheduled becasue I don't want to talk to them about it! I hate lying, but if I fail I don't want to have to tell everyone. Good Luck to us. About what -42 hours now until we can get our quick results. :)
Kaplan specifically states that on I believe the first three trainers you should be getting 65%...and on trainers 5,6,7 should be aimed towards 60%.
I haven't heard about anyone who has passed the NCLEX getting lower than a 60 on the trainers, but when I do I'll let you know. I do however hear about students getting higher than a 60 on the trainers and passing the nclex exam with 75 questions. Hope this helps

@Thenurse2be08,
Srry i have to answer u here, I guess i'm still not allowed to send pm s
Kaplan def. helped me..it is much harder in my opinion. The actual exam is straightfoward, at one point I really thought I must really flunking coz the q's seemed too simple...actually got some knowledge based q's.
Yes I would do q7 if you can eventhough it will take forever but it's full of info and tidbits. I did it the day before and got a 64% ..not exactly what i had hoped for but I felt better because my score had been mostly 58-60.
I do know what you're going through but try to relax before u start ur exam, take some deep breaths and trust urself. Also take ur time, read each q twice and make u know what is being asked and u should be fine.
Good Luck! U can do this!

You're not doing bad @ll. practice more question and understand your content. Try review your :typingcontent over maybe you can improve on your score:up:. My own idea of doing things is very different. I understand the disease process first, then proceed to application by doing question base on pathophy. I wish all best in your next coming test.:rckn:
