Hello! I am currently applying to schools in Washington and I was wondering if anyone else on here is applying for the RN program at Shoreline. If you are, what are your points and what other schools are you applying to?

So I am on the alternate list. Really hoping that I'm not too far down the list and have a chance to get a real spot. Anyone know what the likely hood that some spots will open up?

Did you apply to any other schools? I've heard that is common for a few people to get in off of the alternate list, but it probably varies each quarter!

I only applied to shoreline this round as lake washington changed their point system. I am anxious to find out how far down the list I am. I wish that if you got on the alternate list and not accepted, then the next cycle you have a spot. LOL one can dream.

I haven't heard any specific numbers for the alternate list. Are your points close to the minimum number of points that got in? If they are then I'd assume you are higher up on the list at least!

Well they quoted me as 104.25 but I calculated myself at 105 so I'm speaking with sharon on Tuesday to go over the points.

Did they say whether or not you are supposed to attend the orientation? If someone doesn't show up there then an alternate gets in!

Yes I was instructed to attend orientation and already submitted the alternate acceptance letter and submitted the background

@Timothy Spaeth have you had to email any forms to the school? If so, did they ever respond saying that they got them? I turned in my acceptance form on Saturday but I got the automated response and haven’t heard anything since so I don’t know if they have seen it yet.

@AlissaTaylor13 I apologize as I did not get notified you responded. So I spoke with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) for an appeal. They had a 3.5 instead of a 3.8 for my stats. That bumped me to 105. I was told I jumped up 7 positions and also someone declined for another program. I started my background as well as the alternate acceptance. I took the liberty of starting my vaccine clearance to get a head start. I did not get any response for emailing the alternate paperwork. Since I spoke with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and she did not mention it I suppose it is received. She said that 5/29 we would be updated with our rank in the list so I am assuming you will hear the same.

I got a call few minutes ago! I’m no more on alternate list yay! You who are alternate list will get a call today for sure :)) I’m still waiting my SU’s decision for waited-list, but I think I’m accepting my spot at Shoreline! Can’t wait to see you guys ?
