Hello Everyone!
I am starting this thread to hopefully compile some extra information regarding acceptance into Shoreline Community College's RN program for Fall 2017. The application deadline was April 3rd, and acceptance letters are to be sent out 4-6 weeks after. Needless to say the suspense is not doing me any favors!!!
Has anyone else applied for Fall 2017? I have been reading on forums the minimum acceptance points by quarter (as far back as Fall 2011) - and it seems to range anywhere from 100.3 to 108.6.
Any info on number of applicants or when acceptance letters are being received would be greatly appreciated! Good luck everyone .
That seems kind of fishy - not saying it's not legit, but I'm pretty sure they're mailing the applications in. Website says 4 to 6 weeks after the application deadline of April 3rd, meaning early May would be the earliest.
I agree. It may be true, but the short amount of time raises warning bells for me as well. On the other hand, while I expect to get in I know that nothing is assured. I know an RN that went through Shoreline that was rejected the first time she applied because she screwed up some paperwork. I can totally see the same thing happening for me
I am praying I didn't mess up the paperwork! I took the Accuplacer tests instead of the Compass test, but there was no place to put that in to the online application so I literally crossed off Compass and made a side note about the Accuplacer (also included the Accuplacer result paperwork). And then Form E hated me, I ended up having to send my responses for Form E to the nursing office and they had to put it in manually. I think the reason might be that I used a 15-credit interdisciplinary class (which slows up as three separate classes on my transcript). My Anatomy class is from Winter 2012 so I was worried it would be counted as expired - I had to get an answer from the nursing director herself (she said they would accept it, but not past this quarter... so if I don't get in I'll be retaking Anatomy this summer). I'm just so worried I messed something up!! I would feel so stupid.
You did right by the Accuplacer test anyway; that is what they told me to do as well. I was so nervous about taking that test as I was used to the Compass. Crammed on Algebra and Geometry all weekend! I think that test scared me more than most of my class exams.
I really hope you get in this quarter. Retaking Anatomy would be such a chore!

A friend who is currently taking A&P at North told a friend that she got in. Supposedly she received an email yesterday.
