Hey guys!

I thought I would start a thread for all of us Shoreline Community College Part-time applicants for Fall 2018.

I'm currently on the waitlist for the Spring 2018 full-time program, but if I don't get in then I plan on applying to the part time for fall. I'm sitting at 104.85 points and it seems like the part-time program usually has a lower minimum point requirement so I'm hoping that's enough to get in!

If anyone has any questions about the application, feel free to ask me. This will be my third time applying to Shoreline so I feel like a pro at this point :)

Hey There,

this will be my 5th or 6th time applying. I may have lost count. After retaking EVERYTHING im at about 106.65 points now and praying i get in. question: if we applied for full time 6 quarter option and dont make it in, will they consider us for part time 10 quarter option??? ive always wondered about that. I have been trying since 2015 and have always been about 1 point away from the cut off. Also tried at LWTech, 1 point away didnt make it, and i also did not make it for UW BSN. All in god's timing i guess

Hey T_petes and Rach3lrae!

This is my 4th time applying and I have 105.9 points. So hopefully since the deadline was so early and there are both cohorts we get in! I applied for the full time because the head of nursing department told me apply for which one you prefer and if you get bumped but have high points they go down the list and offer the part time. So if the part time fills first they may offer folks the full time.. I hope we all get in!!!

Hey guys,

I ended up making it in off the waitlist for the Spring quarter. Cut off was 105.5 and I had 104.85, so just know there is hope even if you get waitlisted. If you guys have any questions, let me know and I'll try to answer them!

Good luck to you both!

Congratulations T_petes!! That's awesome!! I only had 104.4 for my spring application I am hoping 105.9 will get me into fall!

Does anyone know how many days you have to respond to the acceptance letter if you are accepted?

I'm not sure how many days you get to respond but if you're waiting to hear from another school, if you get into shoreline my advice would be to accept anyways! You can always decline after and they will pull someone off the waitlist. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the reply. I was asking more from the perspective if I am out of town when the letter arrives.

I thought it said we would be notified through our email, I don't think we are getting a letter this time...?

I have applied 3 times and each time I was not notified by email that I was on the waitlist or not accepted. I was out of town last round and I called the office the day they sent out the letters and they told me my status.

Did they say this time there would be an email? I would love that!

Hopefully we find out soon!

Yeah the last few times I have applied it's been a letter but when I did the application online it said this time around it would be through the Shoreline email. Maybe because they are doing both cohorts so too many letters?

Did anyone call and ask if the letters went out yet?? Today is 4 weeks. And they said 4 to 6 weeks usually. Cant wait to find out the results!!
