I am rather new to working in a school setting. I know that children, especially the younger grades, need a change of clothes at school for many different reasons. Do you find that they need shoes and socks as well? Are those items that you request from parents with the change of clothes?
Thanks.

We ask the students to bring an extra pair of shoes with them, during the warmer months, if they will be wearing flip-flops or sandals. As fas as extra shoes, I have a few pair that the PTO donated but that is not something I commonly keep in my extras stash. I do keep socks; however!

No room to store shoes, but socks do come in handy.

i don't have any spare shoes, but i do occasionally have socks. I am always amused when staff brings in a student and mistakes my office for Walmart and is truly shocked that i don't have a change of shoes - it's like - does this look like a bowling alley? I am lucky i have underpants left and a pair of oversized sweats for that student.

I have socks, in desperate times I will send the student to the locker room lost and found.....
