Shoes for Nursing School

Published

What all shoes do you recommend? My school didn't have a required brand. I don't care if they look goofy I just want comfort & support :)

when i first started school I was so broke I couldn't afford to spend a ton of cash on a pair of shoes, especially when I knew for at least 6 months I was going to be in classrooms only anyway. I got a pair of Skechers, non athletic sneakers. They are light, comfy, and even kinda cute. They work well when Im just sitting around in lecture. I'll start clinicals soon, so I just got a pair of nursemates, Bryar. They arent too goofy looking and have a bit of a heel, which hopefully will help my plantar fascitis. Havnt worn them around yet, but they seem very comfy when i tried them on. Got a great price on Amazon!

I have high arches so I love my danskos. I am hoping my school allows them, if so I'll buy some in white for clinicals. I wear my black ones now. Got them from an eBay shop last year, new for like $82 I believe.

I just bought Danskos and I love them! I haven't started clinicals yet, but I've been walking around the house in them all day. They take some getting used to, but I am thrilled so far.

I rotate between my Danskos and Klogs Naples...both are pretty similar in look but the Klogs have more padding.

scrub wearer I just found the Klogs Naples and they look like the best option. Most reviewers liked them more than the other name brand. Thanks for the input everyone!

I'm partial to my Klogs because my feet tend to swell after a work day. If I'm working two days in a row day 1 I usually wear my danskos and day two I wear my Klogs.

I will be getting Danskos. I know they are expensive, but if my feet are happy then I will be happy and it is worth it in the long run.
