Another topic probably already covered, but figure it wouldn't hurt to discuss again for all of that'll be beginning school this summer and fall.

Any nursing shoe suggestions? Of course, the school requires all-white leather nursing or tennis shoes, and I don't know where to begin to look - there's so many different brands and styles!

I've got a pair of Nursemates that I wear during my 12 hour shifts at the dialysis center. I'm on my feet practically the whole time I'm working & I've never had a problem. Love my Nursemates! They're light as air & very comfortable! :D

The ones I have are the "Seneca" model, which looks like an athletic shoe, but has extra support & cushioning where you need it. It's so light & doesn't wear you out. It's also a "slip on" design, which I love since you don't have to worry about your shoes becoming untied!

A lot depends on (pardon the trite pun) how the shoe fits, of course.

Mine need to be wide.

I can't help in in fact I'm wondering about shoes too. I start at Charity School of Nursing in Louisiana in the Fall and noticed you are in Mississippi. Where are you going? Good Luck:)

I love New Balance. They are the most comfortable shoes I have worn. I am still getting soles for my shoes because my dad has a problem with his feet making his back hurt and I don't want it to happen to me. I dont know what New Balance people wear, but the one's that I wear are really more of fashion shoes( people my age-21- wear them as regular shoes- not workout, walking,etc) You would think I worked for New Balance the way I promote for them!!

Nursemates! I wish I could get another pair, but my school won't let us pick our shoes. They choose the ugliest and go with that for us. :chuckle
