Be happy you have a job..there's alot of people that don't...But regardless of that I'd be asking why you're wage is not what they told you before...Sounds like someone might have relayed the wrong information to you..sorry to hear i wouldn't be too happy about it either..best of luck tho!
Thanks for the comments! Believe me I know how hard it is for a new grad to get a job, i searched for about 6 months with 2 almosts and then they backed out last min not wanting to train a new grad. FInally I got a place after a long road of searching and going crazy, so I DEF took the job. Im on orientation on days now but will be doin 3-11 and they told me shift starts at 3PM.
I would think they told you that first pay (w/shift diff included) because the person is looking at it like you are- you make X (lets say 25)amount. But in all actuality you make $22- but you are working the in a shift thats included in the $3 diff. Its that way because like right now, you arent making the differential since you are training during the day. If they hired you at $25 base pay, during orientation or if you pick up a morning shift for someone- they would have to pay you $25- get it? not very good at explaining things but tried my best lol
It Didnt Come EasyRN

Hi! I just finally landed a job :loveya: and i was quoted a certain amount at my interview but then I get there and they change it saying that its $3 less that it will only be what they quoted with shift differential. Ok so heres what I dont get im training on days but my shift will be 3-11, so doesnt shift diff just apply to working hours after 6PM anyways????? Thats where Im confused, so why dont they just tell me that I'm getting paid what I was told in the first place???
