Sheri Taylor's CPNE online workshop

Nursing Students Excelsior

Just starting to prepare for CPNE and was wondering if anyone has used Sheri's online workshop "solely" and passed. I would have loved to attend a live workshop but can't afford the traveling expenses and all.... would like to get some input/advice, please.

~Thanks in advance :-)

Joy, just a little note - you know that you can send your careplans to EC to be checked, they'll do it for free? The information should be in the study guide :)

True. Thanks for pointing that out. That was an invaluable service as well as calling the ECE staff every chance I was allowed with my questions.. But, word to the wise, if you call them with a question then they know what your weaknesses are..For example, Respiratory Management. Don't be to shock if you see it in the actual cpne.. So, do make sure you prepare well for any questions, and or care plans you ask them about, or any suggestions that they make you. I hope this helps.

is the online conference prerecorded videos like her rn bridge program, just curious. i used the bridge program a little. Sheri is great, she did live chats and she is very knowledgeable. just curious also, how an online conference works, if you have questions can you submit them, or does she do live chat sessions, also, can you send in your careplans to her as an online student? would love to do the live but i can't swing the money for that either. I have robs which is great. If i have Rob's is it worth doing Sheri, or is there a component that sheri's gives that Rob's doesn't have? Cautiously spending my money you know!

Awesome! Glad to know, didn't know about that. My plan is to read the guide from cover to cover, and then focus on the critical elements portion of the guide. So glad to know that EC will review careplans for free. Thanks for the advise! :)

Sooooo...I just signed up today for an allnurses.com account! I must say I should have done it a long time ago so I can comment on the posts that I have been reading to prepare me for the CPNE! I like to thank everyone for their comments and questions because this site has REALLY helped me. I hope to help anyone that may have questions or help me if I have any :o)

I will be taking my CPNE in December this year and obviously plan on passing the first time! I don't have the funds to attend any live workshops so I will be signing up for Sheri Taylor's online workshop tomorrow. I will post my thoughts on it once I start.

Base on my understanding so far--Sheri’s online workshop is presented via recorded videos. I did not use her RN bridge program for my theory exams, so I really can’t speak to that. But, I agree that she does have positive reviews, and has a high passing rate! Can’t recall which thread, but I did read a comment here on AN where a student stated “Sheri will be with you from start to finish” so, I guess that includes answering whatever question(s) you submit. As far as careplan goes, Sheri is the "careplan queen," from what I have gathered. Not to put you off, I have also read that a lot of the questions like you have asked here, can be addressed by Sherri directly, which I think is great.

As far as Rob’s videos are concern, most are recommending the mnemonics which they have found helpful for the CPNE. It seems like the mnemonics cannot be bought separately from the videos. But, I have decided to add it as part of my resource for this exam. Another important thing to note as advised by most successful students, is to follow the CPNE guide closely, while using any of these outside resources as they might just be missing something. I hope this helps:)

Great to have you here, aspiringtoB, and welcome to AN:up: Is definitely the place to be, full of excellent tips/advise! I agree 100%, I too have found AN to be very informative! Yes, let us know how is going when you start with Sherri's; I too plan on doing the same next week. Just ordered Sherri's flash cards, and also received my EC skills kit yesterday from the company they recommend. Yep! I'm sure you will pass first time as many have, would be nice to keep the trend. Good luck as you prepare! You can do this!:)
