Hey guys,
I'm just getting this thread started for the Winter 2015/2016 round of New Grad applications at Sharp in San Diego.
It looks like the Grossmont applications open Oct 13 and then the rest of the apps open Oct 26.
Best of luck everyone!
seeaway - I hope not! Did you bring anything with you to your interview? I gave them all my paperwork before starting the interview: cover, resume, references, and letter of recommendation. Hopefully, that's the reason they did not have to contact me about my references. But in any case, whatever happens, happens. I know God has a plan for me :)
My portfolio just had that stuff too! Positive thinking is what we need to get through all of this. That's why I hope good for all of us. 😊
Hi everybody, just joining this conversation. I had an interview Monday and got a call for references and letter of recommendations on Friday. I wasn't able to send them right away, I sent them on Saturday evening. The voicemail said she would reply to make sure she got them but I still haven't heard anything back yet. Anybody get a reply back? Thanks!
Interviewed on Thursday. Got a call from HR today for references YAY! Hoping for good news soon for me and all of you who applied for new grad positions!!
Yay hoping for good news for you too!! Where did you interview? I included references in my portfolio so hoping that's why they didn't call me for them. Just trying to think positive

I interviewed at SCVMC. I had references in my portfolio too but HR still called and asked me to send it to her. I scanned it immediately after the call and HR replied a few minutes later saying that she had received it. Keep thinking positive. We will all get jobs in the end.
Did you interview for l&d or postpartum?
I applied to both. Based on the interviews and advice from long term L&D nurses, it appears that it's an easier transition to L&D if you start with PP first if you want to last in this field :yes:Apparently several new grads ended up requesting a transfer to PP after 3 months in L&D. A lot to digest for a newbee like me. Guess I'll know the outcome of the interviews on Thursday or Friday!
