Published

Hey guys,

I'm just getting this thread started for the Winter 2015/2016 round of New Grad applications at Sharp in San Diego.

It looks like the Grossmont applications open Oct 13 and then the rest of the apps open Oct 26.

Best of luck everyone!

My friend is sometime this week for L&D CV.

My friend is sometime this week for L&D CV.

For an interview? When did she get.the call?

Anyone hear back anything from Mary Birch for any of their open positions? :( I haven't heard anything and still hoping

Hey everyone! I've been keeping up with this post for quite some time now. Thank you guys so much for starting this. I would literally go to this site everyday to see if anyone got any updates during this brutal process! I know the wait was torture but stay hopeful everyone!

Anyway, I did my interview yesterday, and to be honest- I feel like it went really well. This is my second interview with a hospital. My first one I knew I bombed it right when I walked out the room. I would have to say that it was kind of traumatizing because I've never really had a bad experience with interviews. However, this time I felt confident after walking out. But now that I'm sitting here thinking of all the things I could have said better in my answers, I'm feeling really anxious. The anticipation is really killing me!! Idk what's worst.. waiting for my NCLEX results or this lol. I know that some people are still interviewing this week so good luck to everyone! I interviewed for PCU 2E-Oncology/Medical and 4W-Surgical. I hope that anyone who already interviewed can reply to my post and share with me your experience. I keep searching to see how long it usually takes for a call back with a job offer, but can't find anything! I would appreciate any advice or some good vibes my way!

TIA :)

That's so good to hear! My first interview I know I did horribly too. This is my second interview and hoping that I walk out just as confident as you! What do you think you did differently that made you so confident? How did you prepare?!? Any advice please! :cat:

Stiiiiiiiil waiting! I haven't heard ANYTHING yet. :( what's your background?

I have an interview this Thursday SCVMC. My background is L&D and Postpartum both intern and externship. This process is both grueling and stressful... similar to waiting for a NCLEX test date and then waiting for the results.... CRAZY!!!:arghh:

Hi Jsica725!

From all that I've seen, they contact a week after. I interviewed for the same unit and they told me that they'll be contacting candidates about a week from Monday. Glad to hear that you had a great interview! I felt the same way - they were a great panel. Good luck! Hopefully we end up working together :)

MRSRN12 - Sorry for such a late response! Been trying to keep my mind busy since the interview and just getting home from work right now is making my mind go crazy so I decided to see if anyone replied to my post lol. Anyway, to be honest, I just prepared myself a little more than I did before. I didn't want to disappoint myself again so I worked harder to find my confidence. If anything, the panel that interviewed me was also a plus. They were very friendly and not as intimidating as my previous interviewers. Just be honest with yourself and answers and just go for it. I may have seemed a little nervous going in, but by the end of it, I noticed I felt more relaxed. I hope that they liked me.. >_

Ahhh! Finally, someone who has gone through the process with me for the same unit, lol. I tried to PM you, but I'm not exactly sure how to since I barely use my account to contact people personally. But, I hope we both get in! I unfortunately did not ask them how long it would take for them to make their decisions. Did they tell you at the end, or did you ask? I hope me not asking them that question doesn't make me appear as if I didn't care for the job offer. But, I contacted HR right away when I got home to get an approximation. She said possibly by the end of this week or next week. But yes, I agree! The panel was a good group of people. They were very friendly and genuine! I really hope they were impressed with the both of us! I'm excited and scared to get a call from them because apparently they call you no matter what to inform you of whether or not you got hired. It's so hard to be and not be excited because of potential disappointment. Idk how to keep myself busy!

Oh btw, did you interview this Monday too?

@Jsica725 It's okay! I've always lurked, but never thought to make an account. I did interview on Monday and they just mentioned to me that they will be contacting about a week from then as we were wrapping everything up. I expected to be intimidated since it was 4-5 people, but they were incredibly nice. I didn't know they called even if you don't get hired, but I suppose that's good etiquette. I'm trying to not think of it too much, but I hope we both get it!

Literally moments before I responded to your post HR called me regarding my references. Hopefully that's a good sign and you get that call soon too!

seeaway - Omg no way! I hope that's a good sign! What exactly did they say about your references though? I wonder... since they didn't exactly say at the end of my interview that they would contact me that it means I didn't get it ): Agh. Keeping my fingers crossed* and just hoping for the best! I'm happy for you though! Sounds like you got it!

They just asked me to send in 2-3 letters of recommendation and to send a point of reference from a hospital I volunteered at in the past. They could have just forgot to mention it. I forgot to ask until they said something. I don't think them not telling you the contact period is considered a sign though!

Hello!

I just did my SCV PCU/MedSurg/Tele interview today, and my SGH PCU interview right after. I didn't get to ask the SCV panel about when they would make decisions, does anyone have any quick info about this?
