  1. Yup it's official I have a job at SCVMC in the Women's and Infants Services unit. Putting out best wishes and good vibes to everyone! Merry Christmas and Happy 2016
  2. Yes they already started interviews for L&D last Thursday.
  3. I applied to both. Based on the interviews and advice from long term L&D nurses, it appears that it's an easier transition to L&D if you start with PP first if you want to last in this field :yes:Apparently several new grads ended up requesting a transfer to PP after 3 months in L&D. A lot to digest for a newbee like me. Guess I'll know the outcome of the interviews on Thursday or Friday!
  4. I interviewed at SCVMC. I had references in my portfolio too but HR still called and asked me to send it to her. I scanned it immediately after the call and HR replied a few minutes later saying that she had received it. Keep thinking positive. We will all get jobs in the end.
  5. Interviewed on Thursday. Got a call from HR today for references YAY! Hoping for good news soon for me and all of you who applied for new grad positions!!
  6. I have an interview this Thursday SCVMC. My background is L&D and Postpartum both intern and externship. This process is both grueling and stressful... similar to waiting for a NCLEX test date and then waiting for the results.... CRAZY!!!
  7. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Anyone interviewing for L&D or Postpartum at Chula Vista?
  8. Gosh the wait is torture and so exciting at the same time. Which hospital and position!! Please reveal!! Tips!!!
  9. Hey pttrac I'm wait listed too. In my case I do really want to go to USD. So if anyone is not certain about this school please don't accept the offer, and give me a shot at entering this university. Congrats to everyone who got it!
  10. Sigh..... :cool:so I called the office to find out if letters would be out end this week. I was told that there more stronger applicants this year so they are taking longer to finalize the list for graduate admissions. Further more admissions are so busy now with everyone else that it may not even go out this Friday. It may end up being next week before we hear anything.... URGGHHH!
  11. I'm with ya:lol2:! Fortunately I'm in an acute care class right now to keep my mind somewhat occupied. Will keep checking in for news. For now signing out to catch some :zzzzzgot clinicals tomorrow at Sharp Grossmont at 6am.
  12. All this waiting is torture! One of my friend's got her acceptance letter last year via email on the 25th of February. But that's a Saturday this year. I was hoping we would have heard something today. Anyone got any updates from the office?
  13. Hi everyone, I live in San Diego too! I was so excited to receive the email.. now I'm stressed and excited at the same time. I dashed to my wardrobe to look for clothes for the interview!! Can't wait to meet all of you in February.
