SHARP New Grad RN 2017

Published

Hi everyone,

I noticed that there wasn't any threads about the New Grad RN 2017 program at Sharp in San Diego. It would be great to see where everyone is in the application process and to see if anyone has been called for an interview yet?

Currently, my status is "Under Consideration- Updated: October 17, 2016". Did anyone hear back for an interview yet? What units/locations did everyone apply to?

I applied to the NICU at Mary Birch and the SICU at Grossmont.

Good luck everyone!

Memorial and Grossmont have sent out interviews I believe.

I applied to Sharp Grossmont and Memorial and got an email on December 4 for a schedule interview for the 12/21 at sharp memorial adult med/surge unit.. Just completed my interview this morning. To be honest.. I felt like my interview could've gone a lot better... Oh well.. Keeping positive. They told me we won't hear back from them until atleast January 5..such a long time to wait.

keep in mind I only have my ADN and am currently in the middle of getting my BSN so to all my fellow ADN nurses... There's hope! (As long as you're enrolled in a BSN program). Good luck to everyone!

Congrats!!!!! That's awesome. Is this for the January or march start date?

I think March! There were a panel of three interviewers, all very nice

my status if my application never changed so I wouldn't base all my hopes on just refreshing your application submission status.

Any word or update anyone? Hopefully this thread isn't dead :/

Hi iubanit! I was wondering if you had any advice as to what will be asked or how to prepare for an interview with Sharp Memorial's Adult Units? I have no idea what to expect, so any help would be much appreciated! Also, I hope you hear from them soon! Good luck to you! :)

Has anyone applied to Mary Birch for L&D March start date?

I have applied for L&D for March. Hopefully we will hear back soon! Does anyone know if they disqualify based on the UCSD course? I am originally from SD but do not currently live there and was unable to take the course.

Hi Sarrahsparks!

I think that it is a requirement, the application said it needed to be completed or currently enrolled in it. Has your status changed at all?

It was a panel of 3 interviewers for me. They asked about 7 questions, none clinical, just questions assessing your personality and suck like your reason for becoming a nurse or communication skills, sorry I was so nervous I hardly remember the questions. They were all very nice, I think they just want to see that you're a compassionate nurse that is a team player. The interview went by really fast

Has anyone gotten a call back yet? They told me they'd do call starting Jan 5th... doesn't look hopeful

@dodlover. I appreciate the info you shared about critical info on a resume because I'm graduating in May from Mew Orleans but moving to Atlanta, so I started working on my resume last week and put my clinical hours on it.
