SHARP New Grad RN 2017

Published

Hi everyone,

I noticed that there wasn't any threads about the New Grad RN 2017 program at Sharp in San Diego. It would be great to see where everyone is in the application process and to see if anyone has been called for an interview yet?

Currently, my status is "Under Consideration- Updated: October 17, 2016". Did anyone hear back for an interview yet? What units/locations did everyone apply to?

I applied to the NICU at Mary Birch and the SICU at Grossmont.

Good luck everyone!

Hi all,

I applied for the Sharp Mary Birch L&D new grad program starting this March. My application status has changed from Under Consideration to Under Hiring Department Review. I am only an ADN but I do have the MNNC course from UCSD completed. I am hoping for an interview & will keep you posted.

Hi ani808,

Thats great! when did your status change? Mine changed on the 12th and I still haven't heard anything so I'm starting to lose hope since the interviews are tentatively scheduled for the 26th & 27th. Do you have L&D experience at all?

@AT0427 Same :/ mine has not been updated since the 12th. No work experience yet for me. Hopefully we hear something soon.

@ani808 This is awesome news and look forward to hearing the results after an interview; positive vibes your way.

Hi ani808!

Check your email. I received an invitation today to interview for Mary Birch!

@AT0427 congrats! mine says no longer under consideration. good luck & best wishes with everything :)

I'm a little late to this thread. I'm starting my new grad program in PCU/Adult health next month at Sharp Memorial. I'm curious if any of you have accepted a position for my cohort as well. I'd love to hear from you.

I am going to be applying to the Summer 2017 New Grad program and was wondering if there is a limit to how many units you can apply for? Thanks in advance!

Yes, there's a limit. I believe it was 3 units.

I applied to a Sharp Chula Vista in January for an April 20th start date. It's a four unit new grad rotation one (ER, PCU, Tele, Med-Surg), different than their typical application where you choose a few units to apply to. Anyways, my status has said "Under hiring department review" since February 10th. And, around that same time a recruiter reached out to me to confirm I am bilingual. Today is March 2nd. Do you think by now they have told people about interviews? Like maybe they didn't bother to change my status to "no longer under consideration" even though they don't plan on considering me anymore?

Specializes in CCRN.

Congrats everyone!

The entire SHARP Healthcare system is comprised of mostly New-Grads. lol. FUNNY.
