Hey just wanted to get a forum going for anyone who just applied to the Sharp new grad RN program last week. Good luck to everyone!

I did a 1 on 1 with a nurse in the ER for 15 shifts. Basically it was my final rotation of clinicals and we got placed depending on what we wanted to specialize in and depending on our standing as a student. It was really nice and I basically got to be independent with it for the most part and it ended being a great experience!!

oh I had same in OR, but our school didn't call it preceptorship !! lol thank you Bri

Absolutely! Keeping fingers crossed for all of us!

Hi everyone! I just got the "invitation to self-identify" email. Not sure if it means anything but when I click the link it says the link doesn't work...did anyone else get this?

I'm planning on calling HR in the morning and see if any action is needed on my part. Ahhh such anxiety!!

Reading from previous threads i think the self identify thing is just for them to know you’re legit? Or something like that. So the link saying it doesn’t work rn is supposed to happen. May I ask which hospital was your first choice? I’m trying to figure out if CV has looked at apps yet

I’d be more likely to believe that the self identify portion is for citizenship status.

According to Sharp's New grad website,

I’ve received an email asking me to self-identify however the link doesn’t work. What do I do?

"Please disregard this notification. As your application is reviewed, the system will generate this message however there is no need to take further action."

So yes your application has been reviewed :D

Also, I looked at my application and it still says under consideration but the date changed to today (11-12-19)! Eeek ?

Aaaand now the self identify email :)

congrats!!!

what floor / hospital did you apply to?

Thank you! SICU at Grossmont

edit: @anxiousstudent12, I can’t seem to quote reply you but here it is.

Has anyone heard back from Sharp Mary Birch? The status on my application changed to "under consideration" on November 6th and I also got an email to self-identify on that day ?
