I'm testing in few days i'm scared. i'm taking kaplan trainers and i don't wanna expect to much from my scores. I always feel unprepared. My anxiety is through the roof!:zzzzz
Guys, what were your scores in kaplan question trainers before the exam?did you pass/fail?
Thanks!
:typing
Diagnotic 63%
Q1 63
Q2 72
Q3 61
Q4 75
Q5 56% (first time) 64% (took it again in the afternoon several days later because I didnt like my first score)
Q6 62
Q7 66
Readiness 65%
My scores were all over the place. I noticed I got better scores when I took these tests in the afternoon so I scheduled my NCLEX time in the afternoon (rather than morning). I think that helped me. Our Kaplan teacher said as long as you score over 60% on the Q tests, you will do fine. You may not stop at 75 questions but the questions will keep coming. Initially, I scheduled the NCLEX for 8am but decided to change to late afternoon when I am most alert. I recieved 75 Qs but took my time.
Diagnostic: 64%
Question Trainer #1: 59%
Question Trainer #2: 58%
Question Trainer #3: 66%
Question Trainer #4: 66%
Question Trainer #5: 64%
Question Trainer #6: 66%
Question Trainer #7: 63%
Readiness: 69%
I completed about 68% of the Qbank questions and had an overall score of 62%. In addition to this, I completed the 27-question Alternative Format test. I passed NCLEX on the first try with 75 questions. I thought NCLEX was easier than Kaplan (came out of the exam knowing I passed). Best wishes!
RNindmaking I know you can do it! you have a few days left! but stay positive and slow down and think through the question! don't worry about kaplan scores--go in there with a positive attitude and i can't wait to hear about how you felt/did come fri/sat!! goodluck!
Thanks nrcolee6! I feel sick already. My anxiety is through the clouds.LOL!

I'm also utilizing the question trainer for my assessment and would appreciate your feedback on my readiness for the exams. I should take it in the next two weeks. Q1-61% Q2-73% Q3-62% Q4-63%. Can't help feeling nervous going in for the exams. Your counsels will be very much appreciated. Thanks

Your scores sound good. I have posted mine elsewhere but don't remember them anymore, think my lowest was in the 50's and my highest was 70 or so. Read the rationales, even on questions you get right! Can't stress enough how much that matters since even though you may get the answer right it may not have been for the right reason.
Thanks. Kinda reassuring to hear that. Did a 67% on the Q5 recently. Does anyone know or have any idea what your percentage score on the actual exam should be looking like @ the 75th question if the computer is to shut down by then? Said this for two reasons; Since I take my time with each question, I use up much time and tire out mentally after 100 questions. Secondly, on all my Q trainer exams thus far (@75th question) my scores have been slightly lower Q1-61% Q2-73% Q3-67% Q4-59% and Q5-62%. Based off of your experiences what do you guys think? Thanks
Looked up my scores from another post!
On the question trainers I got (in order) 63, 63, 58, 53, 61, 70 and 62. My scores for the diagnostic and readiness test were identical, 67%. I didn't do a single question from the qbank (complete waste I know!) so no score to offer there.
Honestly, I didn't pay any attention to what my score was as I progressed (I didn't even realize it scored you as you went along, thought that just happened at the end of the test). Focus on the rationales, even if you get the question right! Honestly can't stress that enough. I was out of school for years and completing the Kaplan Qtrainers was pretty much the only prep I did and I managed to pass in 75 questions.
q1:73 (i took this twice, i forgot my first score)
q2:61
q3:53
q4:55
q5:54
q6:46
im using the cd. i dont know if it's the same..now that i go the 46%..im so afraid to take Q7..and nclex! im trying to be postive.thinking that i got a lower score(than usual) is because my eyes are too tired and taking 200 question is sooooo boring.

honestly i didn't really find the decision tree to be helpful. on the other hand, i was eager to try it on my practice tests when we first learned about it. but like i mentioned, it didn't help as much as i thought it would. i remember getting questions that would apply to it though, and i only found ABC's to be helpful (which i figured most books would say).
happy to hear that you're now constantly getting 60s =) goodluck!:) and don't forget to write down all those questions you got wrong :)
by the way, i only passed recently. August 11th. i can't believe it myself. but if i did it, and if others did too, then so can YOU! :)
