SFSU ELMSN Fall 2023

Hi everyone,

I just submitted my application to SFSU's ELMSN program for fall 2023. I didn't see a thread for this, so creating one here if you'd like to share your experiences, updates, and decisions! Based on the previous thread for fall 2022 it doesn't seem like we will hear from admissions until April. Best of luck to everyone!

Here we go again guys! I was a wreck on Friday with so many emotions. I want to stay here in the bay. Hopefully we get good news this week!

Anyone call today? I can't step away from work or I would. ?

I know it's super hard waiting, especially for those of us who have to accept admission and give deposits to other programs and/or move out of state. But, do we think it's a good idea to keep calling? We pretty much already got our answer on Friday. End of April it is, & if they go out sooner, great!. We can make it, luckily April has 30 days and not 31 ?.

Well it's also frustrating cause other schools are already moving on to housing plans and I don't want to miss out on anything. And I also don't want to sign a lease incase I may don't be attending. I just wish they would stick to their word and let us know sooner rather than later.

Genuinely what is taking so long tho? Based on other threads previous years got a response early April. Like why all of a of sudden late April???

I agree! I've looked back on past cohorts too and there was one that was late April- early may but it was in 2014 (I believe they had just launched the program it was under GMSN and not ELMSN) and they also had interviews. It might just be way more applicants this time around and a really competitive pool but I really hope we hear soon!

I called on Friday and they called me back today. Now last time the information I got was incorrect so take this with a grain of salt... They have had technical issues is what I was told. They said the emails should go out today or in the next couple of days. I think they said the issue had more to do with the portal. Again I got incorrect info. last time so I don't know how much to trust this.

Technical issues I can get behind, and would make sense to me. Hopefully the emails come out in the next couple of days so we can all move on regardless.

That was nice they followed up with you! Hopefully it's correct info this time.

I got my admission letter just now! I was offered admission! I'm so happy and honestly so surprised. I can't wait. I've been lurking on this page for so long, thinking I stood no chance of getting in. I have virtually ZERO health care experience. Wishing you all the best of luck!
