SFSU ELMSN Fall 2023

Hi everyone,

I just submitted my application to SFSU's ELMSN program for fall 2023. I didn't see a thread for this, so creating one here if you'd like to share your experiences, updates, and decisions! Based on the previous thread for fall 2022 it doesn't seem like we will hear from admissions until April. Best of luck to everyone!

I'm from the bay and live in Union City, and this is the only program I applied to. Mostly because  I didn't take the TEAS so I was a bit limited this round of applications but plan to take them to apply for the BSN program next cycle if I don't get in this time. My top choice was UCSF because they have the midwifery concentration that I want but they postponed their ELMSN until 2025 unfortunately. I won't do the other ELMSN programs like at smu or sfu because the cost and time just doesn't make sense for my end goal.

I really hope that there wasn't that much applicants I feel like there may not be because it's a masters and for a second bachelors but let's just see!

I really hope and pray you will be one of the 20 who get accepted!! And if you don't get in don't get discouraged. There's a plan for all of us and if it's meant to be it will happen ?

I'm from Antioch, CA. I was accepted to PLU in Tacoma, WA & I really like the pathway of that program more than SFSU, but it is private and waaaay more expensive. I wouldn't say that SFSU is my top choice, but if I get in, it makes sense to go there instead of having to move out of state within the next month. PLU starts May 30th. SFSU is the only school that I am waiting on a reply from.

I picked adult gerontology. I hope we find out soon. I'm praying about it but still anxious.
