Given the app for fall 2018 isn't due for another two months, this is a bit early but I wanted to see other people's stats and thoughts on the SFSU app.
My stats:
3.9 cumulative GPA
4.0 prereq GPA
86.7% TEAS
101+ health/multicultural volunteer hrs
No second language, military status, or CNA license so not sure if I'll make the cut
Hard to know what to expect with a SFSU without a point system. My stats have got me barely making the cut-off point for most CSUs based on previously admitted student stats
Hi Reincarnated,Thanks, that's useful information... I don't have volunteer experience but I believe it's in the same category as previous work in a clinical setting which I do have 3 years of recently and a total of 7 years.. I don't have multicultural experience though, in fact, I don't really know what that means? Can you or anyone else explain what they submitted as multicultural experience? Thanks again!
i think thats volunteering abroad, im going to Vietnam in July to help out at an orphanage
I wish I knew this worked too, I help out in the Filipino community from time to time :/Multicultural work is kind of in the name, multiple cultures or marginalized communities. Hate to say it this way but basically working with a specific group that isn't white. Ex. Working with a black church, working with the Chinese Elderly, etc.
Congratulations!
Out of the people who have interviews coming up: how many of you are actually going to accept an offer for admission to this program? I think it would be a good idea if we all get to know if we have a chance to get in for those who may be waitlisted.
In other words, who has an interview and who has this program listed as their Top school to go to?
