SFSU BSN Fall 2014 Applicants

Published

Hello, I created this post to see the overall applicant pool applying on Fall 2013 for the academic year 2014-2015. I wanted to open a new thread for those of you who are planning to apply to the BSN prelincensure program to SFSU, to share additional information, support each other, and to see how fierce the competition will be for this upcoming academic year.

For you,

Overall GPA:

Prereq GPA:

TEAS V Score:

Supplemental Criteria:

I haven't finished all of the requirements but when I do I'll update it.

Overall GPA: 3.55

Prereq GPA: 3.44 (still need physio lab and anatomy)

TEAS V Score: N/A (still in progress)

Supplemental Criteria: over 100 hours at SFGH (multi-cultural/health-related work), 3 semesters of Spanish (bilingual), and letter of recommendation (if applicable).

Thank you all and I wish all of you the best of luck, may the odds be ever in your favor!

Yeah but they arent answering so I filled out the contact form. Who knows when theyll get back to us :(

That contact form is useless. I filled one out weeks ago and no one ever got back to me.

I have no idea how I went that entire time without even looking for a thread like this. The wait has been torturous and it would have been nice to have stood in solidarity with someone (like seriously I thought they lost my application or something). But I was just accepted to Spring 2015!

I was wondering what everyone is doing about housing, though. It seems some of you are in the Bay area already, but I'm down in San Diego, so if anyone else is freaking out a little bit about that, that would be comforting to hear, too.

Hey, I'm from L.A. so I'm gonna need housing too. This group seems to be kinda helpful https://www.facebook.com/groups/223625011079774/

I haven't really looked too much into it yet, though.

I heard that you had three weeks to accept after your file becomes 'admitted', are you sure the may 1st thing matters?

I sent an email to admissions regarding my status like a week ago and still no reply. So I have no idea about the intent to enroll.

Waitlisted at #56.

Pre-req GPA 3.7

TEAS 86%

Volunteered for one year at a clinic serving a socioeconomically disadvantaged population.

I live in SF and want to stay in the bay area for school.

What it says on the SFSU website is this: "Newly admitted students who plan to attend San Francisco State must accept their Admission Offer for the fall semester between April 1 and May 1. The deadline to accept your Admission Offer for the spring semester is November 20. Students admitted after the deadline will have three weeks after their date of admission to accept their Admission Offer. To accept your Admission Offer please go to the SF State Gateway,"

But since it was technically before the deadline, I don't know if that matters or not. But, honestly, I don't think they're about to deny all of us admission because of 2 days. I'd say just keep checking the Portal and accept/deny when you can.

Hi guys, I had the same question regarding intent-to-enroll (I was accepted for Spring 2015). I emailed the nursing department and they said that applicants have to wait another week to be finalized by undergraduate admissions and then the status should change on our portal. Once it changes we have three weeks to accept admission to the university! hope this helps!

It said:

BTW, does anyone know how many people were accepted from the waitlist last year? I think I read that someone who was #52 got in. So I'm hoping that's good news for me! I'm still waiting for CSUEB.

i also found that last year went up to at least #52, and the year before went into the 60's :)

just got in for spring 2015!! congratulations to everyone and good luck to everyone on the waitlist :) What GE classes is everyone going to take in Fall 2014?

Congrats guys, I'm still waiting and the wait is still hard.
