Hello, I created this post to see the overall applicant pool applying on Fall 2013 for the academic year 2014-2015. I wanted to open a new thread for those of you who are planning to apply to the BSN prelincensure program to SFSU, to share additional information, support each other, and to see how fierce the competition will be for this upcoming academic year.

Prereq GPA: 3.44 (still need physio lab and anatomy)
TEAS V Score: N/A (still in progress)
Supplemental Criteria: over 100 hours at SFGH (multi-cultural/health-related work), 3 semesters of Spanish (bilingual), and letter of recommendation (if applicable).

What did your email look like telling you about your position on the waitlist?
It said:
We received more qualified applications than can be accommodated in the BSN program during academic year 2014-2015. You have therefore been placed on the wait list for admission and rank number 24 of 160. We will be in touch if a space becomes available for you.
Please read the Wait List FAQs and return the Wait List Response form directly to the School of Nursing. If you have outstanding prerequisite coursework, please be advised that official transcripts which verify completion with a minimum grade of C must be received by the SF State Office of Undergraduate Admissions no later than July 7, 2014. This is required to maintain your wait list status.
In the event a space does not become available, eligible, dedicated students are encouraged to complete a non-nursing degree and reapply as a second baccalaureate applicant or consider our Entry Level MSN program. Although you've been placed on our wait list, you may be admitted to SF State under your selected alternate major for fall 2014. A separate notice concerning alternate major status will be sent from the university Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Please allow up to one week to receive the alternate major notice.

I then got a follow-up e-mail with a form and FAQ for people on the waitlist.
BTW, does anyone know how many people were accepted from the waitlist last year? I think I read that someone who was #52 got in. So I'm hoping that's good news for me! I'm still waiting for CSUEB.
I got in for Spring 2015! I'm in shock and am worried that they made a mistake because they told me my app didn't even make it to the nursing admissions committee (because of a missing transcript for a school I never went to). However they had my name and ID number on both emails they sent me so gahhhh. I'm still so confused.

I'm in the same boat. One of my schools never sent my transcript so I had to reorder it last minute. I too was accepted for the Spring term. I'm going to call tomorrow AM. I'll share the details.
...How do I reserve the space? I can't find any changes in my web portal.
I got turned down by Chico earlier, so I'm on a bit of an emotional roller coaster at the moment!

In the email they sent me, they said " The recommendation is contingent upon you meeting minimum university admission requirements and being deemed eligible for undergraduate studies at by university Office of Undergraduate Admissions staff. Allow at least one week for that final process to occur."
I also couldn't find where to accept the offer on my portal, but probably in a week or so there should be the option. And yes let me know what they say!
Do you think this mean we're really far down the wait list??? I'm so confused. I sent them an email but I doubt they'll answer it today, I'm going to the office first thing in the morning. ((
Did you stop by the office yet? :) I called and emailed them last night but still haven't received an update on my status.
Still waiting to hear back from SFSU's BSN program at Canada! Happy you guys heard though! The wait is miserable! Anyone else waiting for the Canada/Seqouia Hospital BSN Program too?
