SFSU BSN Fall 2014 Applicants

Hello, I created this post to see the overall applicant pool applying on Fall 2013 for the academic year 2014-2015. I wanted to open a new thread for those of you who are planning to apply to the BSN prelincensure program to SFSU, to share additional information, support each other, and to see how fierce the competition will be for this upcoming academic year.

I haven't finished all of the requirements but when I do I'll update it.

Overall GPA: 3.55

Prereq GPA: 3.44 (still need physio lab and anatomy)

TEAS V Score: N/A (still in progress)

Supplemental Criteria: over 100 hours at SFGH (multi-cultural/health-related work), 3 semesters of Spanish (bilingual), and letter of recommendation (if applicable).

My name is Megan Vogelsang and I applied to the Fall BSN 2014 program. I was curious to know the protocol for wait listed students. Will they get an email notifying them of their placement on the wait list or will they just get their acceptance/denial email later in the year as the acceptances continue?

Also, I was wondering what the chances of being admitted are if placed on the wait list.

i got waitlisted as well in the 70's. LOL. I guess that means I'm going to CSUCI.

The subject line to my email was "SF State Nursing Response form and FAQs" with two attachments regarding the waitlist. For those that were told which number they were on the waitlist...was that sent in a separate email? My email had two attachments and no text stating my number on the waitlist!

Do you think this mean we're really far down the wait list??? I'm so confused. I sent them an email but I doubt they'll answer it today, I'm going to the office first thing in the morning. ((

Oh wow, just got the word- I got in for Spring 2015! I can't believe it!

I think it means they forgot to send us the first email! I think it was a mistake and no indication of where we were placed on the waitlist. I sent them an email too! Let me know if you hear anything!
