Hello! I haven't seen a thread for sfsu's ABSN 2022 yet so figured I start one.
Can someone please clarify if we need to do the supplemental application on nursingcas? It says that its due on Jan. 15th, but when I reached out to sfsu's nursing department, they told me it is not needed. Have others heard the same as well?
Looking forward to responses! ?

I feel the exact same way as I was waitlisted at CSULA too! I will also be relocating
To everyone that got accepted and is going to attend, I made a facebook group for the cohort! I will put the link below ?
@Keelinmcg I wouldn’t worry yet because they haven’t gotten through all of the waitlist yet. There is still hope for you!
Congratulations to all those that made it in or on the waitlist!!
I received my denial email today which I assumed because I don’t have strong work related experience.
For those of you that made it in, would you mind sharing your stats? It will help me know what areas I need to strengthen for next application round. Thanks:)
There are two ways to create a special area for your cohort, that are Terms-of-Service approved.
One is to create a facebook page. This link is allowed to be posted.
The other is to create a "Club" within the site, by clicking on the Breakroom link (upper left-hand corner, in the yellow bar) and in the green area, click Start a Breakroom Club.
Any other references or links posted are not TOS-approved, and will be removed.
We wish you success in your Nursing program!

Hi Sara. Sorry to hear of your rejection. Note, I had no direct clinical experience other than volunteering for the past year at a COVID vaccination site. Here's my stats:
GPA: 3.6
Science GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 92% (took it twice; first time got an 87%)
Volunteer hours: About 300 volunteer hours in a COVID-19 vaccination site.
Healthcare volunteer/work hours: No direct clinical experience but I’ve worked in public health for almost 10 years; 2 as a nutrition health educator and 7 as a researcher/evaluator in the field of adolescent health.

Hey Sara, I'm sorry to hear it didn't work out this year. But I'm glad to hear that you're going to keep working on your application!:)
My stats were:
GPA: 3.7
Science GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 93.3%
Health-care experience: worked as for one year as a registered drug and alcohol technician at an in-patient rehab. I also worked as an undergrad research assistant for two years and a Biology TA for Berkeley City College for one year.
No volunteer experience.
I wish you the best:)

Is anyone else having trouble with this? I’ve been using the contact info I found on their website but IDK if there’s a better way?
You should try [email protected], which is the email they included in my acceptance email.
