SF State Nursing Program, Spring 2017

Published

Hello all! I am new to this forum and had a lot of questions about the application process for nursing school, specifically SF state's program.

I'm planning on applying to their Spring 2017 program, but have heard mixed reviews about it. Is there anyone currently in their nursing program that can shed any light on it? I've heard that it's very difficult to get classes, making it almost impossible to finish the program in the advertised 2 years (takes more like 3 years). I've also heard that due to the high demand of classes and lack of availability, students end up transferring out.

My current GPA is 3.57 and I scored a 81.3% on the TEAS. I also work as a Medical Assistant for 4 years now, ranging in different types of specialties/clinics. My grades aren't as competitive as what I would like it to be, but I'm hoping that my work experience makes up for it. Should I retake my TEAS test to try and get a higher score?

If you're applying to the program, put your stats below!

Thank you all for your input!

It basically just said congrats. There was no mention of any stats.

Thx

Congrats everyone! I can hear your sighs of relief haha. I got the acceptance email as well, but will likely be giving up my spot. Good luck to all of you on your nursing school endeavors!

I got in too! Look forward to meeting everyone. Don't give up hope yet, Mothernurseclub. Hope to be in the program with you.

Just to make sure, admission invitations were sent to the same email where we received the interview invitation right?
