Seton Hall ABSN fall 2015

Published

Hi all,

I did not see a thread about Seton hall's accelerated nursing program starting in the fall 2015 so I decided to create one. I recently had an interview with Seton hall for the accelerated nursing program and I'm very eager to hear back from them with their decision because I am very interested in the program. Is there anyone else in this position? Also, is there anyone who was in this program and can tell me about their experience with the program. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Both. I knew I'd have to retake it because I wasn't yet immune (before the Hep B vaccine). When I retook the test I asked for the lab results to be printed with reference ranges and they were able to provide them.

I'm getting my tests done the beginning of next week. So I will be sure to ask for the lab report to be printed with reference ranges. I also have to start my Hep C vaccine series since I haven't ever been vaccinated for Hep C. I think as long as i'm in the process of getting it done I should be ok as long as I upload where I am at in terms of the series. I have to check on that.

I'm pretty sure there is no vaccine for Hep C and I don't recall seeing that on certified profile. Are you sure it asked for that?

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

There are only Hepatitis A & Hepatitis B vaccines. There is no vaccine for Hepatitis C, other than in early stage research stages.

It asked for the Hep C antibody or antigen Titer. I didn't think there was a vaccine for it but the people at certified background said it was a 3 series vaccine and that I needed to do that before I got the titer. At least that's one less thing I have to worry about, but i'm pretty sure on certified background profile it asked for the Hep c Antibody or antigen titer.

They are confused it does not exist. That's the hepatitis B protocol & lab test. There is no such lab as HepC antigen. The HepC antibodies are useless as they cannot differentiate between acute disease, indirect exposure or chronic infection.

Can anyone give me information as to what building or room the financial aid meeting will be in?

Cass11 I sent you a message on Facebook. I hope that I sent it to you lol

Hello!

Where did you all take your prereq courses like healthcare ethics, nutrition, and healthcare economics?

I took regular ethics and macroeconomics. Ethics at Middlesex Community College and Macroeconomics and Nutrition I took online at Thomas Edison State College.

It is now 2016, how is everyone classes going a year later? Anyone graduate from the Georgian Court University ABSN?

SHU's ABSN is going well. No regrets. Looking forward to wrapping this up in October!

I am applying for this fall!! Is anyone else? Don't see a thread yet so maybe I will start one :)
