Good for you! I did just what you are doing. I started the EC program in 2/07 and got a conferal date for 9/21/07. I just wanted to warn you about NC5, I thought it was hard and I talked to a bunch of people that thought the same. So I just wanted to say not to under estimate it. I always did exams at 2 week intervals and only had a 5 week wait for my CPNE. good luck with your program! :)

Yeah, I've heard the rumors about 5 ... if I don't feel prepared, I can reschedule. But I'm pretty good with the psych stuff (we see a ton of it in the ED where I work because we do so much medical clearance for the psych facility upstairs from us!), so I'm hoping I don't have any problems!
honey, there wont be no off again. i am graduating next year and hopefully will have my rn license by then .... then (lord willing) i can start to look into applying at law school. i would like to wait at least 3 more years and get this fussy baby in pre-school...
you go girl! i think it's the psych stuff that sometimes derails people on nc5, but i didn't think it was bad.txspadequeen, if you're also an on-again/off-again pre-law student, we should talk. :)

i've gone back and forth between nursing and law a few times. still undecided on whether i want to do msn/np after my bsn or law school. sounds like a popular dilemma. lol!
Those of you that are taking multiple NC exams in a month, what is your work schedule like? I work 35 hrs/wk for a school district and typically get out at 2:15 pm. Then I work 2 nights a week doing homecare. On top of it, we have a heavy weekend schedule. Any advice for how I should space my exams out?
Thanks!
I work three 12s a week (every Thursday and Friday, then every other weekend). Monday nights I'm a volunteer medic at a fire station. I also work about 25 hours a month doing graphic design/layout for my old employer. But that's it! No kids, and a very supportive husband. :) Our "weekends" are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and I try to not do as much studying on those days.
That's one reason I love the Chancellor's study guides -- the audio! I can "study" while I drive to and from work, which is almost an hour each way. I'm very much an auditory learner, so it's perfect for me.

In a fit of productivity, I've scheduled three exams for myself in September: NC4 on September 4th, NC7 on September 17th, and now I've added NC5 to the mix -- scheduled that one for September 26th. I'm pretty much done studying for NC4, I've done about half of what I need to do for NC7, and I'm starting NC5. Woo hooo! As they say 'round these parts: "Git R Done." Ha ha ha ha!
