Sentara BSN 2015

Published

Anyone out here applying or reapplying for the 2015?! I thought I'd just go ahead and get this thread started :)

I applied as well. I can't stop checking my e-mail... I'm hoping that they send out notifications before June 30th. The wait is driving me crazy.

 Lol, I know right Davina1979! Good luck to you!

Yea what are all of y'all grades like?

Another day done another day without an email. Grrrr come one Monday!!!!

I kinda wanna email her again and ask about my grades but I don't wanna seem annoying lol

Hi everyone! I also applied for the 2015 session. Anxiously waiting for an email as well!

Hello everyone! I just found this forum today and I too applied for the program and am now waiting!

Welcome to the hurry up and wait forum! Good luck everyone.

So how's everyone's nerves doing? I'm on vacation and should be enjoying myself, but I'm still checking my email five times a day. I know it's not going to be in my inbox until the 30th, but I can't seem to help myself. I did get my email for care partner course, so I got to order my books and scrubs for that. That's helping a little bit, but I just want to knowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!! I'm sure we're all in the same boat, so I'll stop crying now lol

Well I'm glad you're having fun on your vacay! Lol but I'm just working as of now, that'll give me something to take my mind off of it and make time go by

I've been checking emails daily as well. I am so nervous because this is my first choice and the only school I am really interested in. It just seems that they have the best program, training, clinical experience, etc. and I hope to eventually work for the Sentara system. I had met some other applicants while taking prerequisite classes and they all seemed like strong candidates and they were all very nice as well. Best of luck to everyone!

I think the Sentara BSN program is the best program in our area by far. Cost wise, job placement after you are done, the Sentara group hires Sentara trained nurses first, you already have an "in". In this part of VA, more than 1/2 of the hospitals and medical offices are Sentara, I have yet to meet a student that is not happy with their education or school life.

I am not competitive grade wise to do the straight to BSN program, so I am 1/2 way through my LPN, and when I am finished with that and the rest of my prerequsites, it will be my #1 choice in school for the LPN-BSN bridge.
